Zhang, Lin＇s Picture before Imprisonment
Zhang, Lin is a native of Bangbu, Anhui and was born on June 2, 1963.
In September 1979: He studied in Qinghua University and participated in democracy movement. He took charge of proprietor of 《Qing Hua University History and Geography Institute》.
In 1986 he quitted public employment and was engaged in democratic career in Anhui, Hainan, Yunnan and etc. He crossed the boundary illegally and was imprisoned for couple of times.
In June 1986, He was sentenced for 2 years because he led democracy movement in Northern Anhui and issued speeches.
In May 1994, He was sent to educate for 3 years in Anhui Province, because he participated in making preparations for “Laborer Rights Protection Alliance” and other democratic movements in Beijing.
In September 1997, after serving out his time in jail, he got visa to United States.
In October 1998, Zhang, Lin returned to China to devote himself to Chinese democracy career. In the second day, he was captured and sent to educate for 3 years.
From October 2001 till now, he has been living in Bangbu and continuously persecuted and discriminated by CCP authorities. Presently he is a free lancer in the mainland.
