The Seminar of “Seek For Zhisheng Gao” Held in 《China Democracy Journal》Office

At 2-5 pm of Oct. 20, 2009, couple of democratic organizations and democrats held the Seminar of “Seek For Zhisheng Gao” in 《China Democracy Journal》Office. Mr. Baiqiao Tang, chairman of China Peace Democracy League and spokesman of China Transit Government, Dr. Dayong Li, executive chairman of Service Center for Global Quitting CCP, Mr. Dajun Zeng, Ministry of Communication of China Social Democracy Party, Mr. Jing Xiao, manager of New York Broad Bookstore, Mr. Tiankai He, Ms. Ting Shen, chairman of The League of Chinese Victims and Mr. Jun Wang, chairman of China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union and Proprietor of 《China Democracy Journal》attended today’s seminar. Mr. Baiqiao Tang, chairman of China Peace Democracy League and spokesman of China Transit Government hosted today’s press conference and more than thirty justice people attended today’s seminar in NY.
Zhisheng Gao was born on April 20, 2009 in Shan Xi. He is a predominant human rights-defending lawyer and established Zhisheng Law Office. He once dealt with couple of people’s rights defending cases and charged local government for a bunch of times. He has submitted statements to CCP, appealing to change the illegal methods to deal with Falun Gong and etc. Couple of medias in both domestic and overseas have published a number of related reports. Zhisheng Gao’s activities once suffered the harass and persecution from gangster adopted by CCP government. On August 15, 2006, Zhisheng Gao was arrested secretly by CCP authorities in his sister’s home in Shandong. On Sep. 21, CCP authorities formally arrested Zhisheng Gao, due to inciting nation subversion. After Zhisheng Gao’s arrest, his family members have been strictly taken control and his wife was beaten and persecuted. On Dec. 21, 2006, CCP authorities have sentenced Zhisheng Gao for 3 years and 5-year probation. He was also deprived political rights for 1 year.
Zhisheng Gao has become the prominent rights-defending leader in China and was entitled “Chinese conscience”. In 2008, he was nominated for Nobel Peace Prize. Zhisheng Gao’s family members escaped to United States in January 2009. After Feb. 04, 2009, Zhisheng Gao was unknown. The wittiness once saw he was taken away by more than 10 national safeguards. He Geng, Zhisheng Gao’s wife went to capitol hill of Washington D.C. on April 23, 2009 and openly published a letter to turn to help from Congressmen in United States.
Currently, Zhisheng Gao has been missing for couple of months and the International society has paid closer attention to his status quo. Today, all the participants made speeches and strongly appealed for CCP’s release Zhisheng Gao.
