Rally of “Strongly Appeal to Issue Passports to Oversea Chinese”
-----Appeal Oversea Chinese to Bravely Stand up to Upright Chinese People’s Human Rights
At 11 am of Oct. 27, 2009, more than one hundred CDP members came to the Consulate-General of P. R. China in New York to hold the rally. Today’s topics are “Strongly Appeal to Issue Passports to Oversea Chinese!” and “Strongly Appeal to Guarantee Chinese People’s Basic Human Rights!”. Mr. Jun Wang, chairman of China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union and Proprietor of 《China Democracy Journal》attended today’s rally and gave a speech.
In recent years, in order to strive for the home visit, a number of oversea Chinese appeal Chinese consulate offices to renew and reissue passports. However, many of them were denied the request. Especially the asylees who hold the different political opinions appeal Chinese consulate office to renew and reissue their passports. They have suffered the spite and tease by the officers in Chinese consulate office. After Tiananmen Square event of 1989, couple of prominent dissident, such as Mr. Yanbin Liu and Ruowang Wang died overseas and their wish to go back to China is unable to realize. It is not only a political problem, but also a humanistic problem.
Chinese citizens, who hold the privacy passport, business passport and stowaway, have rights to renew and reissue valid Chinese passports. Hopefully more Chinese people can defend citizen rights.

Mr. Jun Wang, chairman of China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union and Proprietor of 《China Democracy Journal》attended the rally and pointed out that Chinese consulate offices don’t renew or reissue oversea Chinese’s passports and deny their home visit, violating the spirit and principals of Universal Declaration of Human Rights approved by UN on Dec. 10, 1948. It clearly indicates that tyranny, against humanity, massacre, ignorance and despise to human rights stain human conscience. Today’s Chinese government denies renewing and reissuing passports to oversea Chinese, violating basic humanism. As Chinese, they are still Chinese citizens, wherever they go. Chinese consulate offices don’t renew and reissue oversea Chinese people’s passports and its act has already denied oversea Chinese people’s human rights.
Jun Wang said that today, CDP held the rally in front of the Consulate-General of P. R. China in new York and protested against CCP’s reject on renewing and reissuing passports to oversea Chinese. The act that Chinese government doesn’t renew and reissue passports has deprived the basic human right of home visit. CDP strongly appeal CCP government unconditionally renew and reissue passports to oversea Chinese. Hopefully Chinese government can have substantially action on the event.
A couple of CDP members give speeches in the rally, appeal CCP government to abandon political elements. From a humanitarian point, it should renew and reissue passports to oversea Chinese.
