Large Scale Rally “Memorize 21th Anniversary of June 4, 1989” before Chinese Consulate General in New York
At 11:30 am of June 1, 2010, people from all social fields of US came before Chinese Consulate General in New York to hold a large scale rally “Memorize 21th Anniversary of June 4, 1989”. China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union chairman, publisher of “China Democracy Journal” Mr.Jun Wang, China Freedom and Democracy Party chairman Ni, Yuxian and journalists from many media, all together over 200 people attended the rally. Chairman Ni, Yuxian of China Freedom and Democracy Party Ni, Yuxian and China Democracy Party World Union member Tong, Jun hosted the rally. China Society and Democracy Party communication department leader Zeng, Dajun, vice-chairman of China Freedom and Democracy Party Mr.Zheng, Kexue and representative of China Victim League Mrs.Ge, Lifang also participated in today’s rally. Chairman of China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union, publisher of China Democracy Journal Mr.Jun Wang led attendants in rally to sing “Song of 1989” and “Wound of History”.
21 years ago in 1989, over hundreds of students and citizens in Beijing stepped onto streets to express their desire for democracy and freedom. They held the signs and shouted slogans, requiring government to punish corruption and embezzlement. They appealed for government to implement democracy political reform. This constituted a most bright page of China’s history.
At dawn of June 4, 1989, CCP authority mandated over 200,000 formal military with weapons to bloodily squelch the world famous democracy movements by shooting people ruthlessly with tanks and guns. Numerous students and citizens sadly fell down before the guns in hands of the so-called “People’s Army of Liberty”. This became the darkest page of China’s history.
Chairman of China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union and publisher of “China Democracy Journal’ Mr.Jun Wang made a speech in the rally. He said, 21 years afterwards, we hereby memorize June 4. We offer condolence to those people sacrificed for ideals at price of their lives. They are heroes of all Chinese. We memorize them forever and history will record them eternally.
Mr.Jun Wang said, the Chinese society in the two decades only witnesses the destitution of ordinary people. Many CCP officials become wealthy. Their richness is not realized through hard work and wisdom. They reach their aims by making deals and corrupting. The severe income gap in Chinese society and the obvious social contradictions are not caused by history nor the policy “reform and open up”. It is the consequence of CCP’s one-party dictatorship.
A nation’s democracy political system can’t be realized by leaders’ vain words. It isn’t few names to show democracy of this country. Only people’s choice and actions can truly promote reform of democracy.
Let’s firmly remember the “June 4, 1989” incident. Though it has been 21 years since the incident, the shoot in June 4 can still be heard. The blood and tears never dry. People sacrificing their lives never find justice and pains of our nation still exist. The traces of history can’t be erased. The echoes of history will last forever. Let’s understand history, see the truths and expose the original face of CCP’s autocracy. Nowadays, we overseas Chinese once again rally and protest here. It shows that we never give up and we can’t give up.
Chairman of China Freedom and Democracy Party Ni, Yuxian made a speech in rally. He said, we rally here and strongly protest CCP’s violent oppression on June 4, 1989 democracy movements! We acquire thorough investigation on June 4 and found out responsibilities. All people died on June 4, 1989 will have a peaceful afterlife. Those alive get condolence and justice are found. We ask CCP government to give up persecution and release all political criminals without reservations. It should give politics back to people.
Representative of China Victim League Mrs. Ge, Lifang also attended the rally and made a speech in rally. Many people participating rally “Memorize 21the Anniversary of June 4, 2010” made speeches in the rally.
