Chinese Democracy Journal held a seminar “Oppose Autocracy! Require Democracy! "— Fundraiser in support of community leader, Martha Flores-Vazquez, in New York.
From 2 PM to 4 PM on August 3, 2010, the seminar “Oppose Autocracy! Require Democracy!" was held in the China Democracy Journal. Mr. Wang, Jun, chairman of China Democracy Party and China Democracy party World Union, and proprietor of China Democracy Journal, the New York’s 16th constituency candidate Mr. John A. Messer, and the 22nd community leaders Ms. Martha (Martha Flores-Vazquez), attended the seminar. Mr. Wang Jun hosted the seminar. More than 60 persons from all section of the community attended this seminar. Before the end of the seminar, reelection fund-raising for Ms. Martha (Martha Flores-Vazquez) was held.

Then Mr. Wang, Jun, illustrated basic differences between authoritarian and democratic institution by using the example of American election. Under authoritarian institution, the public have right to free election. Officials elected in such a way will work for people and speak for the public. Under democratic institution, the public have no right to free election. In addition, they have not chance to participate in election. We can feel the advantages of democratic institution in U.S.A. Today, we have a chance to communicate with senator and social community leader face to face. You can express any opinion you like, praise or criticize. I hope Chinese people in the New York community study and practice democracy. We expect China to abandon autocracy and implement democracy, then the Chinese people can possess right in election and participate political activities.
New York State’s 16th constituency candidate Mr. John A. Messer said that he appreciated people who support Ms. Martha (Martha Flores-Vazquez)’s campaign for reelection. He hopes anyone with trouble in the community can get help from them. They are willing to hear every voice and serve the community and the public better.
Ms. Martha (Martha Flores-Vazquez) is a well-known community leader in New York, and the 22nd community leader. Ms. Martha (Martha Flores-Vazquez) has a master degree in clinical psychology.
