Rally of “Calling on the American government to pay attention to human rights conditions in China” in front of the White House

On Nov. 16, 2010 at 1:30 pm, China Democracy Party gathered more than 90 members to hold a rally in front of the White House in Washington D.C. The rally was to call on the American government to pay attention to human rights conditions in China, and Mr. Wang,Jun, chairman of China Democracy Party and proprietor of China Democracy Journal made important speech at the rally.
The White House is the place where the American President exercises authority. The American President is elected by American people, the power of the President is firstly granted by American people and American Constitute, to protect U.S. Federal Constitution and execute laws stipulated by the Congress; the power of the President secondly is granted by the political system in America, U.S. is a typical country that has presidential system and multi-party democratic politics. The Presidential system in America determines the master of the White House is head of state, head of government, and commander of the three services of the United States of America. With no position established for the Prime Minister, the President shoulders all powers of the head of state granted by the Constitution; any legislation or bills passed by the Congress won’t be effective unless the President signs into law; cabinet officials nominated and appointed by the President have to be approved by the Congress, power of official appointments is concentrated on the President.
On Dec. 10, 1948, the United Nations passed “universal declaration of human rights”, and required all member countries to publicize and abide by it, U.N. also required “schools and other education institutes to publicize, demonstrate, read, and illustrate regardless of the political status of a country or territory. The notion of human rights has been entered China for many years, Chinese people’s human rights awareness and understanding of human rights have made certain progress. However, human rights conditions in China hasn’t improved, violence of human rights by government and officials happen all the time in Chinese society, the reason is CCP officials put their behaviors above the law, the autocratic privilege without constraints of law and above the law violates human rights of Chinese people. Now China Democracy Party members held a rally in front of the White House and call on the American government to pay attention to human rights conditions in China.

Mr. Wang,Jun, chairman of China Democracy Party and proprietor of China Democracy Journal said, China Democracy Party opposes all political persecution, against infringement upon human rights; hopes CCP government can put into action the improvement of human rights, immediately release imprisoned CDP members and dissidents, people who maintain their rights, religious people; immediately release Mr. Wang,Bingzhang, important overseas leader of China Democracy Party, and Mr. Liu,Xiaobo, drafter of “o8 charter” and winner of 2010 Nobel Peace Prize.

Mr. Wang,Jun, chairman of China Democracy Party and proprietor of China Democracy Journal pointed out at the rally, that Chinese people now face a government without rationality and justice. What should one do? Chinese people can only stand up to defend their human rights. CCP government has to stop persecution, end the violence, and strictly abide by “universal declaration of human rights”; to stop bloodshed, to have a good beginning of improving human rights in China.
Wang,Jun said, China Democracy Party opposes all political persecution, againsts infringement upon human rights; hopes CCP government can put into action the improvement of human rights, immediately release imprisoned CDP members and dissidents, people who maintain their rights, religious people; immediately release Mr. Wang,Bingzhang, important overseas leader of China Democracy Party, and Mr. Liu,Xiaobo, drafter of “o8 charter” and winner of 2010 Nobel Peace Prize.
Wang,Jun also pointed out, that we hope the political reform in China make substantial progress, CDP has actively taken part in the political reform in China, China Democracy Party has also trying to push China’s political reform from international community. Our purpose is to “end the one-party autocracy of CCP, and establish a democratic China!”. Hereby, we thank the American government’s understanding and support for CDP over the years; I sincerely hope the American government can continue support CDP cause of urging democratic development in China.
