——“Strongly protest CCP’s violent demolition of people’s houses !”
On Nov. 16, 2010 at 2:30 pm, China Democracy Party gathered more than 90 members to hold a rally in front of Chinese embassy in Washington D.C. “Strongly protest CCP’s violent demolition of people’s houses!”, “Strongly protest Chinese government’s persecution of people who appeal to the higher authorities for help and maintain legal rights!”, Mr. Wang,Jun, chairman of China Democracy Party and proprietor of China Democracy Journal made important speech at the rally.
Demolition is inevitable in the process of urbanization. However, no violence should be used in demolition, and no harm of legal interests of the masse shall happen; government agencies should settle dwellers before demolition on the precondition of approval by dwellers. However, demolition developers don’t get approval of dwellers legally, they hire local gangs in private, using violence to break walls, cut off water supply, block roads, force demolition, forcing residents to move and make them homeless in broad daylight. Why real estate developers are so undaunted and reckless? They key is CCP government doesn’t manage affairs according to law, business and politics are corrosively intertwined, and government harbors and connives officials. To hold the Shanghai World Expo, government violently demolished dwellers’ houses by force, which created many bloodshed incidents, dwellers have nowhere to appeal, and many of them still haven’t received reasonable compensation. The series of incidents arose popular criticism and reprimand from international society. For many years, CCP’s violent demolition caused loss of justice in Chinese society, failure of the legal system, violation of people’s legal rights, and deterioration of contradictions between officials and ordinary people.

Mr. Wang,Jun, chairman of China Democracy Party and proprietor of China Democracy Journal made important speech at the rally. He pointed out that for sixty years, Chinese people had costly lessons and bloodshed for human rights; human rights conditions in China haven’t been improved for a long time, violent demolition are common in many Chinese cities. Chinese people are very angry with the unfair and unjust government, they are angry but don’t dare to say anything, and they have nowhere to appeal. Whether to protect people’s interests and how to protect their interests don’t rely on government promises, but practical actions taken by government. If government forces to demolish houses of dwellers, which made them homeless and tramp the streets; it would arise popular indignation and force people to appeal; many people are arrested, brought home and imprisoned. Today, we CDP members come here again to protest CCP’s violent demolition of people’s houses! Protest Chinese government’s persecution of people who appeal to the higher authorities for help and maintain legal rights!”
Wang,Jun pointed out, Chinese Premier Wen,Jiabao once said, “justice and fairness of a society is more important than sunshine”. This has to be backed up by rule of law that has laws to go by and strictly enforcement of law. Though Chinese government also advocates ruling the country by law, and establishing a society ruled by law, CCP doesn’t achieve “ruling the country by law”, officials still enjoy privileges beyond the law, corruption, oppression of people, all of which severely violate basic human rights of Chinese people. What the Chinese society today lacks most is justice and fairness, the facts prove that what Premier Wen said is just senseless talk.
CDP strongly protests persecution of CDP members and dissidents, demands CCP immediately stoping persecution of Wang,Bingzhang, Liu,Xiaobo, Kong,Youping, Ning,Xianhua, Qin,Yongmin, Liu,Xianbin, Zhu,Yufu, Mao,Qingxiang, Xu,Wanping, Hu,Mingjun, Zhu,Zhengming, Wang,Sen, Wang,Rongqing, Li,Hong, Gao,Zhisheng, He,Depu, Chen,Shuqing, Wu,Yilong, Lv,Gengsong, Zhang,Lin, Chi,Jianwei, Xie,Changfa, Hujia, Chen,Guangcheng, Guo,Quan, Guo,Feixiong, and so on. Demanding release people who are arrested for democratic freedom, national freedom, and religious freedom; demand CCP to lift the ban on political parties, let CDP step on the political stage in China, implement a multi-party rotating regime with democratic constitutionalism, only so can politics be returned to China, let people be their own masters, and build an authentic democratic country in China.
