Rally of “Congratulates on China Democracy Party (CDP) member Qin,Yongmin out of prison” in front of Chinese Consulate General
On Nov 30, 2010 at 11:00 am, about two hundred CDP members went to the front of Chinese Consulate General and held a rally of “Congratulates on China Democracy Party (CDP) member Qin,Yongmin out of prison”, “Strongly protest Chinese government’s persecution of China Democracy Party members and dissidents”, “Strongly request to implement democratic constitutionalism if multi-party government in China!”. Mr. Wang,Jun, chairman of China Democracy Party and proprietor of China Democracy Journal made speech at the rally. Ge,Lifang, rep. of China the aggrieved person Union attended the rally and made a speech.
Qin,Yongmin was born on Aug 11, 1953 in Wuhan, Hubei province. He is one of the main founders of CDP and famous democratic personnel. In 1969 after he graduated from middle school, he was forcefully sent to rural areas as educated youth at the age of 16, the next year he criticized the society in his diary and was found by others, he was reeducated for “hatchet job” and returned to county afterwards, he was recruited in Wuhan Steel Co. in 1976. At the end of 1978, Qin,Yongmin attended democratic wall movements; he was arrested at home in April, 1981and sentenced 8 years in prison for “crime of counterrevolutionary propaganda and incitement” in Mach the next year, deprived political rights for three years, and was released in 1989. In Dec, 1993, CCP charged him with disturbing public peace and he reformed through labor for two years and was released at the end of 1995. In July, 1998, Qin,Yongmin and others openly established “China Democracy Party Hubei organizing committee”, in Nov 30, Qin,Yongmin was taken away by police from home; On Dec. 1st , 1998, CCP officially arrested Qin,Yongmin for “subverting state power”; On Dec. 22, 1998, Qin,Yongmin was sentenced 12 years in prison, and deprived political rights for 3 years. On Nov 29, 2010, Qin,Yongmin was released after 12 years in prison, and finished his third time in jail. Up to now, Qin,Yongmin has been tortured for 22 years in CCP prison fighting for democratic cause in China.

On the morning of Nov 29, 2010, Qin,Yongmin, one of the main founders of CDP and famous democratic personnel, was released from prison, the 20 million words of manuscript he wrote in prison was taken by police, the verdict was taken over by prison guard, the ticket-of –leave was once carried away but was returned later. Police forced Qin,Yongmin out of prison. Qin,Yongmin strongly protested for this conduct. Qin,Yongmin said to the media, the prison let him out of prison this morning, but when he went out with his luggage, he was searched by prison guard, and his manuscript was carried away. The police also took his verdict and ticket of release but returned his ticket of release later.
According to media reports, Qin,Yongmin strongly protested for illegally impounding his personal belongings by prison and refused to get out. The police forced him out of prison. Qin,Yongmin said, that was a quite a wonder. There is no law at all!”. He was sent to the local police department where police brought up many restrictive rules, required him to take no interviews, no conversation with more than two people, report the police if he wants to see someone 24 hours earlier. Then Qin,Yongmin was followed by police car on his way to pick his son.

Chairman of China Democracy Party and proprietor of China Democracy Journal pointed out at the rally that, Qin,Yongmin is an excellent CDp member, he has high social responsibilities, touching democratic freedom and devotion, to safeguard freedom and democracy, maintain rule of law and human rights, he has been fighting against CCP regime for a long time. From 1978 to now, he started devoted to democratic cause of China. Since he is determined to pursue democratic freedom and unyielding to CCP regime, for over 30 years, Qin,Yongmin has been arrested several times, went to prison three times, and all together 22 years in prison. “Hero” truly belongs to Qin,Yongmin, and he is model for all CDP members.
Wang,Jun also pointed out that CCP government claims to rule the country by law, and establish a legal society. However, CCP doesn’t actualize rule of law, continues to violate and trample on basic human rights of Chinese people. CCP arrest and heavily sentence Qin,Yongmin for “crime of counterrevolutionary propaganda and incitement”, “conspiracy to subvert the state power”. Though Qin,Yongmin is out of prison today, CCP government forced Qin,Yongmin to sign harsh document so as to restrict his freedom, such behavior severely violates basic human rights of Chinese people. If the social system doesn’t change in China, CCP continues to govern Chinese society, human rights in China won’t be improved. CDP calls on all Chinese people to stand up and fight for democracy, freedom, and human rights, as long as Chinese people have adamant wills and determination, China is destined to become a multi-party rotating country with democratic constitutionalism.
Several CDP members made speeches at the rally, strongly protest CCP persecution of CDP members and dissidents! Strongly request CCP to release all CDP members and dissidents!
