Dec 10,2010 was the 21st anniversary of Tibet exiled government leader Dalai Lama’s winning of Nobel Peace Prize, also democratic movement personnel, dissident author, and 2010 Nobel Peace Prize winner Liu,Xiaobo’s award. To take this opportunity, New York and New Jersey Tibet association organized grand celebration at the Armenian Church, 630 2nd Avenue on Dec 11, 2010. Chairman of China Democracy Party, proprietor of “China Democracy Journal” lead 30 members attended the ceremony. Rep. of Dalai Lama in North America, non-government organizers, exiled Tibetans, Han ethnic friends, and friends all over the world attended the ceremony.
Dalai Lama claims a middle way to solve Tibet problems. Reps. of Dalai Lama have been in contact with Chinese government for many years, and had several rounds of conversations, but have no results due to CCP’s lack of sincerity. Dalai Lama once said that “I am very disappointed in CCP, but hopeful for Chinese people.” For many years, Dalai Lama and exiled government keep in touch with Chinese people through various ways, sincerely listen to voices from overseas and domestic Chinese people, and determined to introduce the fundamental ground of Dalai Lama and the exiled government. To pay tribute to Dalai Lama and his outstanding contribution, the Nobel Peace Prize committee made a wise decision in 1989 and awarded the 1989 Nobel Peace Prize to Dalai Lama.
Today, rep. of several democratic organizations attended the rally, and rep. Chen,Pokong, Wang,Juntao made speech at the ceremony, and memorize the 21st anniversary of Dalai Lama’s Nobel Peace Prize, also celebrate Mr. Liu,Xiaobo’s 2010 Nobel Peace Prize. They also expressed only the unity of Han, Tibetan ethnic people can realize the mutual dream of democracy and freedom.
