Zhou,Daming,relocated household in Huangpu, Shanghai was beaten to death
On Nov 30, 2010 around 3:00 pm, more than 10 real estate developers and demolition of houses went to Zhou,Daming’s home in Huangpu, Shanghai, and showed a demolition notice, the 48 year-old Zhou,Daming demanded to see their ID, but he was beaten to asphyxia, Zhou’s older sister dialed the alarm phone and those who exert violence fled the scene, then the ambulance arrived at the scene and the doctor declared Zhou’s had deceased on the spot.
After the tragedy, Zhou’s relative moved his body to demolition office which became a mourning hall. Many polices came to the spot and blocked the road.

At night, residents in surrounding districts donated wreath and blessed the dead; banners were set up on Guohuo street and Puyu street, burned paper money, more and more onlookers showed up and the occasion was heart shaking. Policemen actively maintained the order but the scene still could not be controlled.
Ms. Zhou,Li who came to Shanghai for tourism from Beijing went to the scene personally and entered the blockage with risk.
Since dusk Liu,Shasha called to rescue the trapped Zhou,Li on the website several times. The urgent message: “Emergency! Forced demolition caused a man to death on 100 Guo,Huo road in Shanghai, cries can hear from the phone! Zhou,Li, a volunteer who maintain legal rights said the scene was blocked by plainclothes policemen, she might not get out after she entered and requested for help!”.
During the period net friends in Shanghai rushed to the scene for help. Around 9:00 pm, Zhou,Li got rid of the trouble, Liu,Shasha’s message said: “ Zhou,Li got out from the cordon-several relatives surrounded her and friends who came for help pulled her, the police could not do anything so she was pulled out from the cordon. She thanked everyone for their concern!”
