At 4:00 pm on Jan 19, 2011, more than 80 CDP members held a rally in front of the Chinese Embassy. “Inform Hu,Jintao: Chinese people want human rights! Chinese people want democracy!”, “Strongly protest CCP persecuted CDP member Hong Li to death!” Chairman of China Democracy Party, Proprietor of “China Democracy Journal” Wang,Jun made important speech at the rally.
The reform and opening up in China has been several decades, driven by huge interests, changes of values, defects of the social system are impacted by the market economy. Chinese officials use their supreme power to conduct illegal practice of selling and buying government posts during appointments and transfers of officials; they publicly take bribes, collect money and materials in resource options and project contracts; and take backhander in financial loans. These officials enrich their families, stand out from the crowd, most of them own cars, money and ranks.
Look at the common people, they don’t have basic human rights, especially those who live at the bottom of social stratum, these people are discriminated by the government and officials in education, employment, medical care, social insurance, and property distribution. The CCP government claims to establish a harmonious society, solve subsistence of all people, let them to have food, clothing, shelter and means of traveling. The actual fact is quite at odds with what they say, the CCP doesn’t care about difficulties and even survival of vulnerable people. Additionally, CCP strictly control people’s actions and opinions, and severely exploit wealth created by common people. Children in poor families can’t afford to go to school, poor people can’t afford to go to hospital, and some even don’t have enough to eat in Chinese society. The truth proves that the policy of “let some people prosper before others” by CCP, only riches officials, most common people are still very poor.
In China ruled by the one party dictatorship, power always surpasses law; there is no way to restrict and supervise the “ rule of men” by government. In recent years, officials of CCP take great efforts to have urban sprawl construction, build high buildings, subways, squares, and forcefully demolish houses of common people. Officials use watchword of developing economy, and lies of building beautiful homes, to demand common people to abandon houses they rely for existence, many common people in China have similar feelings for forced demolition by the government.

Chairman of China Democracy Party, Proprietor of “China Democracy Journal” Wang,Jun pointed out at the rally, that the CCP insists on wrong political system, laws and regulations exists in name only, all written policies, measures, laws, and human rights are just armchair strategists, and all come to naught in execution. It caused intrusion of human rights incidents happen everywhere on Chinese land with unprecedented corruption, officials have no conscience, economic statistics are very tough, so called prosperity is just fake stuff. China needs political reform, a democratic and free system.
Wang,Jun said, Chinese President Mr. Hu,Jintao visited U.S. and CDP members want to take this chance and inform Hu,Jintao: Chinese people want human rights! Chinese people want democracy! CDP members spare no efforts and persist in for the democratic cause in China, they are the true promoters of China’s democratic cause; however, many CDP members are monitored and illegally arrested for advocacy of democracy, rule of law and human rights; some CDP members are persecuted by CCP, and some of them are wounded, handicapped or dead. On Dec 31, 2010, CDP member Li Hong was persecuted to death at the age of 52 by CCP. We want to ask CCP, what crimes CDP commit? Is it guilty to pursue democracy and freedom? Is it wrong to demand human rights and rule of law? They are not guilty. Li Hong’s death fully proves the violent nature of CCP, and exposed ruthlessness and hypocrisy. CDP strongly request to stop persecution of dissidents, religious people, people who appeal, and CDP members.
Chinese people had many years of struggle for human rights and had bitter lessons, and sanguinary costs. Despite all these, basic human rights of Chinese people haven’t been improved; the Chinese government never has self-criticism on problems of basic human rights. Judging from this, improving human rights of Chinese people can’t rely on current government but Chinese people themselves.
CDP member Wang,Yana made speech on behalf of rep. of Chinese Victims League Ge,Lifang who couldn’t attend the rally. The speech expressed, strongly request Shanghai government to solve grief legally, openly, and equally, return our homes and property, and uphold justice. We take the chance to call on all righteous forces overseas and democratic organizations to act together, and maintain focus on Chinese people who lost freedom and suffer tortures by CCP tyranny, actively rescue them, and especially pay attention to heroes like Gao,Zhisheng, Guo,Feixiong, Hu,Jia, Fan,Yafeng, and Chen,Guangcheng, and don’t let them to be the next Li Hong!
