Life history of dissident author Li,Hong
Original name Zhang,Jianhong, born in Dengxian, Zhejiang in 1958. He was a poiet, dramatist, and freelancer.
He was the last generation of educated youth in 1975, and the first generation of undergraduate after the Cultural Revolution.
He started to write in 1979, and started to publish writings in 1980, he created the magazine “Horizon” and “Mortal World” (published in French book “POEMS&ARTEN CHINESE ‘NON-OFFICIELS.’” and was monitored by police afterwards.
He took part in Zhejiang Writer Union in 1985 and was editor of “Literature Harbor”, and hosted column of “Huadong poem forum”.
He took part in “Youth poem association” in 1987, and studied in Lu,Xun College of Liberal Arts. He published “Imaged subway”, “Dream of the city”, “Quartet of the city”, and so on. At the early of the century, several important poem books all published his poem like “20th century new poems in China”, “20th century new poem appreciation”, and “20th century poem dictionary in China”. He was recognized as “one of the rep. in the new age in China”.
In 1988 he was appointed the secretary of writer association in Ningbo, and director of creative writing committee.
In May, 1989, he organized protests to support students in Peking University in Ningbo, and later went to Beijing, and took part in protest at Tian’anmen square. He was arrested on August 3, and reeducated through labor for 3 years with “counter revolutionary propaganda and incitement”.
In Feb 1991, he was released in advance, and started freelance career.
In 1999 he was detained because he organized China Democracy Party, and lost freedom for one month.
In 2004 he signed with Zhejiang College of Liberal Arts.
In 2005 he finished the long poem “Sad four chapters”, long novel “Tianyi cha yi cun”. In august, he was involved in creating the famous humane website “The Aegean Sea”, and was the editor.
In Jan, 2006, he published the long novel “Red clothing factory” and was edited in long TV shows, and published “Li,Hong poem” in June.
On March 9, 2006, the “The Aegean Sea” website was closed by police, which provoked strong concern and protest in domestic and overseas, and became famous “Aegean Sea incident”. On March 10, he started to write articles to newspapers and magazines on overseas websites like “The Epoch Times”, “Forum for Democracy”. On June 10, he took part in Independent Chinese poets associate, and created “Li,Hong column” on “The Epoch Times”, and “Li,Hong bookstore” on “Forum of democracy”.
On Sept 6, 2006, he was taken away by police. On Sept 7, he was detained with “inciting subversion of state power”. On Oct 12, he was arrested by CCP. At 9:30 am on Jan 12, 2007, the Secondary Court in Ningbo secretly trialed his case.
At 3:00 pm on March 19, 2007, the Secondary Court in Ningbo sentenced his crime was established, and sentenced him for 6 years, deprived political rights for 1 year.
On Dec 31, 2010, China Democracy Party member, dissident author Li,Hong was persecuted to death by CCP.
异议作家力虹简历：
1958年出生于浙江鄞县，原名张建红。诗人、剧作家、自由撰稿人。
1975年最后一批知青，文革后首届本科毕业生。
1979年开始学习写作，1980年开始发表作品，并创办大学生诗刊《地平线》和文学杂志《人间》（已被收入法国出版的《POEMS&ARTEN CHINELES“NON-OFFICIELS.”》一书），从此受到警方“监控”。
1985年参加浙江作协，任《文学港》杂志编辑，主持“华东诗坛”栏目。
1987年参加中国作协“青春诗会”，并赴鲁迅文学院进修。历年结集出版的作品有《想象中的地铁》、合集《城之梦》、《城市四重奏》等。本世纪初，中国出版的几部重要的百年诗歌选本，如《二十世纪中国新诗选》、《二十世纪中国新诗鉴赏大系》和《二十世纪中国探索诗鉴赏辞典》都有代表作入选。被评论界称之为“中国新时期代表性诗人之一”。
1988年当选为宁波市作家协会副秘书长，出任诗歌、散文、报告文学创作委员会主任。
1989年5月先在宁波组织、发动和带领全市文学界、新闻界声援北京大学生的游行抗议活动，后毅然奔赴北京，参与北大学生和北京市民在天安门广场的游行抗议活动。8月3日被捕，被公安部门以“反革命煽动罪错”判处劳动教养三年。
1991年2月提前解教，开始自由撰稿人生涯。
1999年因成为中国民主党筹建人之一而遭到中共国安拘禁，失去自由一个月。
2004年浙江文学院签约作家。
2005年完成长诗《悲怆四章》、长篇小说《天衣差一寸》。同年8月在杭州参与创办著名思想人文网站《爱琴海》，任总编辑。
2006年1月出版长篇小说《红衣坊》，同名32集电视连续剧播出，6月出版《力虹世纪诗选》。
2006年3月9日《爱琴海》网站被大陆当局关闭，引起海内外舆论的强烈关注与抗议，成为中外瞻目的“爱琴海事件”，并引发了“中国互联网暂行规定违宪审查全球大签名”活动。3月10日开始为《博讯》、《民主论坛》、《大纪元》、《议报》、《观察》、《民主中国》等海外网站与媒体撰稿。6月10日加入独立中文笔会，并在大纪元开设《力虹专栏》、在《民主论坛》开设《力虹书房》。
2006年9月6日晚被警察从家中带走。同年9月7日以涉嫌“煽动颠覆国家政权罪”被刑事拘留。10月12日，遭当局逮捕。2007年1月12日上午9点30分，宁波中级法院秘密开庭审理力虹案件。
2007年3月19日下午15点，宁波中级法院以“煽动颠覆国家政权罪”一审宣判浙江作家力虹“煽动颠覆国家政权罪”成立，判处有期徒刑6年，剥夺政治权利1年。
2010年12月31日，中国民主党人、异议作家力虹先生被中共政府残酷迫害致死。
