Seminar of “Speak out on major domestic violence/human trafficking event”

On March 29, 2011, China Democracy Party, “China Democracy Journal”, China Democracy Forum, Community Prevention Alternatives jointly hosted a seminar of “Speak out on major domestic violence/human trafficking event” in “China Democracy Journal”, famous community leader Martha Flores-Vazquez, Mr. Richie Lipowitz, Mr. Wang,Jun attended the seminar and made speech. The theme of the seminar was:1. Women history month pre-forum. 2. Major domestic violence/human trafficking. 3. Fundraiser for major domestic violence/human trafficking event. Sixty people around NY community attended the seminar.
Director of Community Prevention Alternatives Martha Flores-Vazquez made speech first, he analyzed domestic violence and said major domestic violence happen between family members, and has characteristics like beating, confinement, torture and other means to abuse family members physically and mentally. Domestic violence directly harms victims and makes them suffer physically and mentally. Domestic violence happens between family members who have blood relations, marriages, adoptions, like husband and wife, parent and children, grown up children and parent, women and children are main victims of domestic violence; some middle aged people and disabled may also be victims of domestic violence. Domestic violence may cause death, casualties, body pain, and mental sufferings. Ms. Martha discussed and analyzed how to prevent domestic violence, how to face domestic violence, and how to solve domestic violence.
Martha’s supporter Richie Lipowitz expressed at the seminar that Ms. Martha has been serving the community and the public, she is willing to provide help and legal assistance to those who have difficulties. Richie Lipowitz specially thanked Mr. Wang,Jun and other Chinese people their support for Ms. Martha, he called on more people in NY communities to support Ms. Martha.
Mr. Wang,Jun, chairman of China Democracy Party and proprietor of “China Democracy Journal” welcomed Ms. Martha to come to “China Democracy Journal” and held the seminar of “Speak out on major domestic violence/human trafficking event”, he said CDP and himself are firm supporters of Ms. Martha, he highly praised Ms. Martha as a warm hearted community leader, and innocent, gentle women. For many years, Ms. Martha has done outstanding work serving the public and made contribution to community in NY. At the seminar, Mr. Wang,Jun donated 1,000 dollar to “Speak out on major domestic violence/human trafficking event” on behalf of China Democracy Party and “China Democracy Journal”.
