At 3:30PM, July 15, 2011, more than 60 China Democracy Party (CDP) members went to the front of U.S. Capitol to rally. Call on the U.S. Government and global society to terminate CCP’s 12-year persecution of Falun Gong and protest against CCP’s persecution of China Democracy Party (CDP) members and dissidents. Strongly request a voted government to be established in China.
The open policy has developed economy in China, however the economic development doesn’t mean that there has been political progress on human rights in China have been improved; on the contrary, human rights situation in China has not been improved due to economical development. Ever since the suppression of June 4th democracy movement in 1989, on July 20, 1999, Chinese communist used violence to comprehensively persecute over 100 million Falun Gong practitioners of “Truthfulness, compassion and tolerance”; in recent years, there have been violent violation of minority nationalities’ human rights in Tibet, Urumqi, etc. This has shown that China didn’t carry out its promise to improve human rights to the global society.
For a long time, human rights in China have caught international attention. Although Chinese government has done some specific work to improve human rights, there is still a great gap between the situation in China and the “Universal Declaration of Human Rights” presented by United Nations; there are still many political prisoners, Falun Gong practitioners and China Democracy Party (CDP) members held in Chinese prisons; there is still strict control over media, internet and public information; the Chinese government should pay attention to the calls from the global society about improving human rights in China, cancel all kinds of persecution policies, carry out human rights conversations and improve human rights situation in China.
