Liu, Shizun(刘世遵), the Chairman of Dalian Headquarters of China Democracy Party
Liu, Shizun was born on September 3, 1963 in Dalian. He was admitted to the Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology in the July of 1985, and was deeply involved in the student democratic movement in 1989. He acted as a student representative of Beijing Gaozilian. After the “June Forth Movement” was suppressed, he was isolated and interrogated by the authorities for nearly half a year. After graduating from college, his work allocation was disqualified by the authorities, and was sent back to Dalian, his own native place.
The Beijing-Tianjin headquarters of China Democracy Party announced its founding on November 9, 1998, in the form of proclamation, and Liu, Shizun was selected as secretary-general.
In 1999, he organized and founded Dalian headquarters of China Democracy Party in Dalian city, and acted as the chairman.
On September 17, 1999, Liu, Shizun was taken away by the Dalian police from his house, and on that day, the public security bureau informed his family of his criminal detention due to the charge of “overturning the state’s political power”.
February 16, 2000, he was sentenced to six-year imprisonment by the Dalian City Intermediate People’s Court for the same charge, and was held in the Jinzhou Prison of Liaoning province.
On September 16, 2005, Mr. Liu, Shizun, the secretary-general of Beijing-Tianjin headquarters of China Democracy Party, as well as the chairman of Dalian headquarters of China Democracy Party, was released from prison.

刘世遵 1963年9月3日生于大连，1985年7月考入北京服装学院，89年积极投身于学生爱国民主运动。曾任北京高自联学生代表，六四镇压后，被有关当局隔离审查近半年之久。 毕业后被当局取消分配资格，回到原籍大连市。
1998年11月9日中国民主党京津党部以公告形式宣布成立，刘世遵任秘书长。
1999年在大连组建中国民主党大连党部任主席。
1999年9月17日，刘世遵被大连公安抄家带走，当天，公安局通知其家人，刘世遵因颠覆国家政权罪被刑事拘留。
2000年2月16日被大连市中级人民法院以相同罪名判刑六年，被关押于辽宁锦州监狱。
2005年9月16日，中国民主党京津党部秘书长、中国民主党大连党部主席刘世遵先生刑满出狱。 |
