Quan Guo, male, was born in 1968. He majored in Chinese philosophy, and graduated from the philosophy department of Nanjing University in 1999, and obtained a doctor's degree in philosophy. From 1999 to 2001, he did postdoctoral research at the Faculty of Arts of Nanjing University. In 2001, he was assigned to teach after graduation. He had served successively as the class discipline adviser of graduation students at the Faculty of Arts, the office director of adult education class, assistant president, and an editor of the school newspaper of the Faculty of Arts of Nanjing University. Then he acts as the head of the arts committee of China Democracy League, an associate professor of the Faculty of Arts of Nanjing Normal University, a Master's instructor; and now he was the chairman of China New Democracy Party.
His major works are: “Research about Buddhism Thought of Harmony in The Sui and Tang Dynasties” (China Literature and History Press, 2002), “Freedom and Literature” (the Publishing Corporation of China Literary Federation, 2002), “Research about Buddhism Thought of Harmony in Korea” (FGS text printed agency of Taiwan “Tibetology Library”, 2002). Ten treatises he wrote published in several core journals, some were reproduced in “Copy Materials of the National People’s Congress” of Renmin University of China.
In the morning of November 13, 2008, Dr. Quan Guo, the chairman of China New Democracy Party, as well as an associate professor of Nanjing Normal University, was arrested by the China communist authority because of an accusation of “overturning the state’s political powers”.
On the Christmas of 2009, in the final adjudication, he was found guilty on the charge of “overturning the state’s political powers”, and was sentenced to ten years imprisonment.

主要著作有：《隋唐佛教圆融思想研究》（中国文史出版社2002年版）、《自由与文学》（中国文联出版社2002年版）、《韩国佛教圆融思想研究》（台湾《法藏文库》佛光山文印社2002年版）。在核心期刊发表论文数十篇。其中，有多篇被中国人民大学《人大复印资料》全文转载。
2008年11月13日早晨，中共当局以“颠覆国家政权罪”抓捕了南京师范大学副教授中国新民党主席郭泉博士。
2009年圣诞节当天被宣布终审判决颠覆国家政权罪名成立判刑十年。 |
