From 7pm to 12pm on May 12, 2012, invited by the president of Tibetan Youth Congress Cheden Adetsang, The Chairman of China Democracy Party and Proprietor of China Democracy Journal Jun Wang took some journalists from China Democracy Journal attend Cheden Adestsang’s 50-year-old birthday reception. Jun Wang went there as a representative of Han nationality. The location of this birthday party was 62-02 Roosevelt Ave, Woodside, NY 11377.
The Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) is an international non-governmental organization that advocates the independence of Tibet from China. With around 30,000 members in the Tibetan diaspora, it is the largest of the pro-independence organizations of Tibetan exiles. The current president of the Tibetan Youth Congress is Tsewang Rigzin. The organization claims no particular religious or party political affiliation. It advocates for the independence from China of Tibet by every possible ways and means.
The Chairman of China Democracy Party and Proprietor of China Democracy Journal Jun Wang told media reporters, “I am so happy to attend President Cheden Adetsang’s birthday reception tonight. It gives me a good opportunity to know many Tibetan friends. The China Democracy Party which is under my leadership and myself always support Tibetan people to fight for freedom and human rights. Meanwhile, I sincerely hope that Han and Tibetan can communicate with each other more and understand each other better, promoting the building of democracy together.”
