At 4pm, July 13, 2012, about 50 China Democracy Party members held a big rally in front of the U.S. Congress in Washington D.C., calling Senate and Congress both pay attention to Mr. Wang, Bingzhang, an important leader of China Democracy Party who has been in prison for 10 years, help to promote China’s process in ending the one party dictatorship and moving toward to democracy and rule of law. The Chairman of China Democracy Party and Proprietor of China Democracy Journal made a brief speech at the rally.
The United States is a federal state; its organization form is presidential system regime. This country implements a democratic system which separate three powers and balance the powers. Legislation, administration, and judiciary under the “tripartite” political system is respectively controlled by the Congress, president and court, the powers of these three departments restrict and balance each other. The U.S. Congress contains Senate and House of Representatives. The most important thing is that the Congress has legislative power.
The Chinese government has long advocated establishing a just, peaceful and prosperous society, but such a society is built on the base that the society is stable, the politics is civilized, people’s life standard is improving, and people can express their own rights. Meanwhile, a just, peaceful and prosperous society should take different political voices, can really allow the existence of parties and dissident groups which hold different political views. Today, many dissidents are still detained in prison by Chinese Communist government, especially Mr. Wang, Bingzhang, an important leader of China Democracy Party, has been in prison for 10 years. There are still many petitioners who are evicted, deported and persecuted. Ordinary people do not have basic human rights; do not have the freedom of speeches. All these violate the concept of a just, peaceful and prosperous society. So Building a just, peaceful and prosperous society, it is a basic condition to lead China move toward modern civilization.
Chinese government’s illegal trail and illegal confinement of Mr. Wang, Bingzhang, an important leader of China Democracy Party, is a typical example showing China has no rule of law. China Democracy Party asks the Chinese Communist government to follow the historical trend; respect people’s wish and carry out political reform. The only way for China’s political reform is to implement the separation of legislation, administration and judiciary. The improvement of Chinese people’s human rights not only need the effort of government and people, but also need to depend on the rule of law. Under the real condition of rule of law, government officials and people can be equal; can get the basic condition of improving human rights. Here, China Democracy Party call on the U.S. Congress to put pressure on China, and help to promote China move toward a democratic constitutional country with the separation of three powers.
