China Democrat Liu, Benqi(刘本琦) was arrested because of speeches
China Democrat Mr. Liu, Benqi, was born in August 27, 1968 according to the lunar calendar, and is from Hongan, Hubei. He graduated from Chongqing Communication institute belonging to military, and his major was communication electronics technology. After graduation, he served in the Northwest Frontier Force for over ten years.
After demobilizing from army, Mr. Liu, Benqi was placed in China Unicom in Xining, Qinghai. As a demobilized officer served in army for 12 years, Liu, Benqi could not get used to this job and also did not like this job. He refused to go to work in the appointed company. Mr. Liu, Benqi, he gave up this job which many people were envious of, and decided to find a way by himself. From that moment on, he walked toward a new life and began to explore many social problems.
Graduated from military academy, and also served in army for over ten years, Mr. Liu, Benqi’s thinking is very active. He has a direct and profound insight on social problems like politics, economy, livelihood and so on. He advocates non-violent politics, promotes peace and reason. They way of his expression is very simple. He rarely writes articles, mainly makes speeches among the public, freely express truth and disseminates knowledge. Mr. Liu, Benqi understands and promotes the universal value and “national reconciliation” concept suggested by Qin, Yongmin, an important China democrat leader in Wuhan, China.
On July 18, 2012, Mr. Liu, Benqi was arrested because of speeches by Public Security Bureau of Golmud in Qinghai

中国民主党成员刘本琦先生因言获罪
中国民主党成员刘本琦先生，生于1968年农历8月27日，湖北红安人。毕业于军方的重庆通讯学院，所学的是“通讯电子技术”专业。毕业后在西北边疆部队服役，服役时间长达十几年。
刘本琦先生从部队转业后，被安排在青海省西宁联通公司。作为一名服役12年的转业军官，刘本琦并不习惯也不喜欢这份工作，他拒绝到被分配的单位上班。刘本琦先生放弃了这份许多人都羡慕的工作，决定自谋生路。从此，走向了新的人生道路，开始探索诸多社会问题。
军校毕业又从军十几年的刘本琦先生，其思想非常活跃，他对当前中国的政治、经济、民生等社会问题有十分直接的、深刻的见解。主张非暴力政治，宣扬自由、民主、和平与理性。在各种不同的民众群体中公开发表言论，自由表述社会真相、传播常识。刘本琦先生理解并倡导中国民主党武汉重要领导人秦永敏先生提出的执政党必须信奉普世价值、实现民主转型的“全民和解”理念。
2012年7月18日，刘本琦先生因言获罪被中共青海格尔木市公安局抓捕并关押 |
