Protest the Chinese Government to Persecute China Democracy Party Members
-------Commemorate the 64th Anniversary of the promulgation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
December 4, 2012, 11 am, around two hundred members of China Democracy Party gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate-General in New York to hold a rally that commemorates the 64th anniversary of the promulgation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and protests the Chinese government persecuting China Democracy Party members and dissidents as well as demanding democracy, freedom, human rights and the rule of law to be realized in China. The chairman of China Democracy Party and president of China Democracy Journal attended today’s rally and made a speech during the activity.
The United Nation General Assembly passed the 217A resolution on December 10, 1948, and formally promulgated the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), and set December 10 as the Human Rights Day. Since the issuing day of the UDHR, it has become a new standard of human rights around the world. Over 64 years, the UDHR has made a significant impact on the improvement of human rights. Many countries have brought the spirit of the UDHR into their constitutions.
For 64 years, the contents like the basic human rights, the human dignity, and the freedom of speech and religion that proposed by the UDHR have been universally respected, acknowledged and implemented by the countries around the globe. The universal values such as human rights, freedom, equality, universal love, and human dignity is now becoming a common standard to evaluate whether a society is advanced and whether the people’s living standard has been improved.
The UDHR literally stipulated that: “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.” Also, it said that: “The spirit of the Declaration should be spread in schools, educational institutions”.
2.China Democracy Party call for the United Nation and the International community to pay attention together to the human rights situation in China, hoping the Chinese government to strictly comply with the clauses of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; demanding the Chinese government to give up violence, and stop persecuting China Democracy Party members and dissidents, and release all the detained political criminals!

The Chinese ruling party, however, long ignores the Declaration, to oppress the people, to trample human rights, to arrest, detain and illegally sentenced China Democracy Party members and dissidents. The China Democracy Party members who were arrested and prosecuted includes Wang Bingzhang, Kong Youping, Li Zuo, Liu Yusheng, Liu Xianbin, Xie Changfa, Li Wangyang, Qin Yongmin, She Wanbao, Ning Xianhua, Xu Wanping, Wu Yilong, Hu Mingjun, Li Dawei, Zhu Zhengming, Tong Shidong, Chen Zhonghe, Wang Sen, Zha Jianguo, Yang Zili, Yue Tianxiang, Gao Hongming, He Depu, Li Hong, Zhu Yufu, Chen Shuqing, Lv Gengsong, Zhang Lin, Chi Jianwei, Xue Mingkai etc. And among which, China Democracy Party member Wang Bingzhang was sentenced life imprisonment for espionage and Terrorist crime; February 10, 2012, China Democracy Party member Mr. Zhu Yufu who had suffered 9 years imprisonment, was once again being sentenced 7 years in prison by CPC for “inciting subvert state power”. December 31, 2010, China Democracy Party member in Zhejiang Li Hong was persecuted to death; June 6, 2012, China Democracy Party member in Hunan Li Wangyang was persecuted to death. A number of facts show that the human rights situation in China, which has a population of 1.3 billion, is very bad, over 60 years, instead of getting improved, the human rights situation in China is deteriorating.
