Celebrating the 15th Anniversary of the China Democracy Party’s Establishment
- End one-party dictatorship and establish a democratic China
At 11am on June 25th, 2013, China Democracy Party members living abroad gathered together in front of the Chinese Consulate General in New York, Celebrating the 15th anniversary of the China Democracy Party’s establishment. The Chairman of China Democracy Party and proprietor of China Democracy Journal Mr. Wang, Jun attended the rally, and delivered a speech to express his sincere condolences to China Democracy Party members and their families, and to show his respect to China Democracy Party members who are detained and persecuted by Communist authorities and their family members. Several Chinese Democratic Party members spoke at the rally.
Fifteen years ago, on June 25, 1998, during the then U.S. President Mr. Bill Clinton’s visit in China, China Democracy Party proclaimed its establishment to the whole world in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Its goal is to establish a modern democratic political party and pursue constitutional democracy. China Democracy Party calls on the Chinese people who are suffering to work together to break Chinese Communist Party’s one-party dictatorship, and get democracy, freedom, human rights and rule of law. China Democracy Party follows the principles of openness, peace, ration and legality, and tries to end the long-term situation of China’s one-party ruling. China Democracy Party advocates establishing a democratic constitutional system which several parties would take turns to in charge; China Democracy Party advocates open, free and fair election, and establish a truly elected government. The establishment of China Democracy Party has waken up more than a billion Chinese people, declaring the end of one-party dictatorship. This also shows that a Democratic Constitutional era is coming, and it has epoch-making significance in China’s history.
During these fifteen years, China Democracy Party gradually becomes the largest opposition party in China, and is changeling Chinese Communist Party’s central position. It is suppressed by the Chinese Communist government. Major members of China Democracy Party in China are persecuted; many members are put in prison with the charge of “subversion of state power", "inciting subversion of state power". These brutal facts have told people that the Chinese Communist government does not obey basic human rights, and repress China Democracy Party members and their organization for a long term. They change China Democracy Party from illegal organization to hostile organization, causing great losses in China Democracy Party. Facing this serious situation, the Chairman of China Democracy Party Mr. Wang, Jun adjusted the organizational forms and activities, and took advantage of every opportunity to deal with the international community, he stated the fact of Chinese Communist party suppress China Democracy Party and persecute China Democracy Party members for a long term in several hearings in the U.S. Congress, trying to get support from American government and international society. Meanwhile, Mr. Wang, Jun represented China Democracy Party to apply for registration in New York, America, and got approved by the American government.

During these fifteen years, at the meantime of promoting the construction of democracy, freedom, human rights and rule of law, China Democracy Party gradually integrates into Chinese people’s Weiquan movement. The Weiquan movement is a new milestone in China Democracy movement, and also an essential stage in promoting the Chinese nation toward democracy. China Democracy Party members never forget China Democracy Party’s mission while pursuing democracy and human rights. Excellent China Democracy Party members such as Wang Bingzhang, Zhu Yufu, Xu Wanping, Qin Yongmin, Zhang Lin, Xie Long, Liu Xianbin, Li Hong, Li Wangyang, Chen Xi, Xueming Kai, Liu Qi, Chen Shuqing, Wang Sen, Wu Yilong, He Depu, Cha Jianguo, Gao Hongming, Lu Gengsong, Wang Rongqing,Yan Zhengxue, firmly pursue democracy, freedom, human rights and rule of law. They are arrested and detained by Chinese Communist government. Among them, Mr. Wang, Bingzhang was sentenced to life in prison, Li, Hong and Li, Wangyang were persecuted to death. Chinese people would never forget the great contribution these China Democracy Party members have done for the democracy movement in China. Let us hold our hands, and create a new situation of constitutional democracy!
China Democracy Party members in China are severely persecuted by Chinese Communist government; many members have a difficulty life. In 2005, the chairman of China Democracy Party Mr. Wang, Jun proposed the concept of “the best way to support China’s democracy movement is to make donation.” Over the years, Many China Democracy Party members who are persecuted and their family members in China have received Wang, Jun’s economic aid. The aid makes them feel love and warm. Mr. Wang, Jun always pointed out, “We as China Democracy Party members overseas should make our best effort to care about these victims, help these victims, and donate money for them. It is the best way to support China’s democracy movement.”
