The Strength of Hope
At the moment, we are waiting in the line to the harbor by truck. At 10:30, the sun is shining brightly. The wind is gusting while the sand is blowing.
There stand more than one hundred army men before me. Among these fellows, I am older as I had stayed in universities for 15 years. But many of them are excellent.
I look at the solemn troop, thinking of how to understand the strength in the hope deeply so that as long as we learn to wait for hope, our strength reaches the highest point. And when we have hope, we will never fall down. This is what I and my fellows need. Or in fact, everyone needs.
I opened my bible: “So I tell you to believe that you have received the things you ask for in prayer, and God will give them to you” (Mark 11:24, Bible)
So the mystery of hope lies in here. Understand and remember what God gives us. Because hope is know and believe the lord’s resourceful gifts for sure, this is our motion of life. As the Western saying goes: “Where there is hope, there is life.”
At 12:27, the truck came along. We have been standing under the sun of over 100 degree for two hours.
