CDPWU Joining In Wei Wu Er’s Rally In Protest Against CCP’s Persecution of Wei Wu Er Compatriots In Front Of the Chinese Embassy
At 7:30 of Feb. 5, 2007, at the invitation of Wei Wu Er People’s Office in Washington D.C., more than 70 CDPWU members started out in two vehicles to attend the grand rally “Strongly Protest CCP’s Persecution of Wei Wu Er Compatriots” organized by the Wei Wu Er people. They arrived at the Chinese Embassy in Washington D.C. at 2:30 in the afternoon. The famous democratic personage and Wei Wu Er human right activist, Madam Re Bi Ya, and CDPWU Chairman Mr. Wang, Jun each made a wonderful speech at the meeting. Today is the coldest winter day in Washington DC. In spite of the terrible weather, people of Han Nationality and Wei Wu Er Nationality joined hands in the foreign land in protest against CCP government using autocratic means in suppressing democracy, freedom and human rights; against CCP government using violence in attacking people’s human right movements; against CCP government using army forces in attacking Wei Wu Er People’s just actions for democracy, religion and cultural freedom.

Ten years ago, on Feb 5, 1997, the Chinese government produced the Xinjiang Yili Incident that shocked the whole world. During this incident, CCP government put down a big group of Wei Wu Er people. Situation in Xinjiang becomes strained at every anniversary of the Incident. Today is the tenth anniversary of the Xinjiang Yili Incident. Compatriots of Han Nationality and Wei Wu Er Nationality in America gathered together in front of the Chinese Embassy to protest CCP’ s persecuting Wei Wu Er people. We call on with all our strength international societies to pay particular attention to the situation of Wei Wu Er People’s human rights. For many years, Wei Wu Er people have been disobedient to the CCP government. Wei Wu Er people, represented by Madam Re Bi Ya have been consistent in protecting the human rights, religion and cultural freedom of Wei Wu Er people, and standing in long-term support of the democratic, religious and cultural freedom movements of the Wei Wu Er people. CCP government sentenced Madam Re Bi Ya 8 years’ imprisonment with a made-up crime of “Illegally provide national information to foreign organizations”.
Chairman of China Democracy Party World Union, Mr. Wang, Jun delivered a speech at the rally. He said, People of Han and Wei Wu Er nationality are fellow countrymen, and we are brothers. Like a man’s four limbs, the two nationalities are related to and dependent upon each other. For its own purposes, CCP government takes such hooligan measures as cheating and suppression and drives a wedge between the Han and Wei Wu Er people, resulting in lots of contradictions between the two peoples, and turning them from friends to foes. Today we friends of Han and Wei Wu Er nationalities stand here together to tell people all over the world that: People of the Han nationality and people of the Wei Wu Er nationality are not enemies. We are friends. We have a common enemy, which is CCP! From now on, people of Han and Wei Wu Er will unite to work together to overturn CCP’s one-party autocracy and establish a democratic China.

After the rally, friends of Han and Wei Wu Er nationalities enjoyed dinner together. Madam Re Bi Ya invited Mr. Wang, Jun and a dozen friends of Han nationality to visit the Wei Wu Er Office in Washington DC. They shared talks in delightful and enthusiastic atmosphere on how to promote democracy, freedom, human rights and establishment of the legal system in China and on how to improve cooperation between Han nationality and Wei Wu Er nationality.
