HangZhou Upper Town City Court on Tuesday announce the verdict for Zhu,YUFu & Son Zhu, Ang’s trial of “Interference of public administration”, sentencing Zhu, YuFu for two years and Zhu, Ang for one year suspended for a year and a half. Zhu, YuFu & son were arrested on May 18, 07 at their home on the charge of “assault on police, & obstruction on public administration”.

Zhu Yufu’s defense lawyers MO,Shaoping finished Guo,FeiXiong’s efense of innocence in GuangZhou on Monday and then rushed frantically to Hangzhou. On Tuesday morning's court hearing, he defended Zhu & son’s innocence. He told VOA reporter: “The verdict was delivered in the courtroom”.

Mo, ShaoPing: “the verdict was given on the first trial, Zhu was sentence for two years and his son was sentenced but suspended”
Reporter: “Did you reach the defense goal”
Mo, ShaoPing: “we think we should be free from criminal punishment.”

Zhu Yufu is a senior Chinese pro-democracy activists, had participated in the 1970 Democracy Wall movement and the 1980s democracy movement. In 1999 due to participate in the formation of the Chinese Democratic Party he was sentenced by Hangzhou Intermediate People's Court for seven years, released in September 2006.
Zhu & son had “physical confrontation”with the police visiting his home for “official business”. Zhu's friend Yang, JianMing was on the spot, and witnessed the whole process. He was in court as witnesses, answered the questions raised by counsel and prosecutors.

He said: "The question from the lawyers is, Zhu Yufu phoned home, allow opening the door for the police. There is no intention of obstructing public administration. The police claimed Zhu assaulted the police, according to our statement; Zhu only pushed the police once. Police did Review the video and it shows that Zhu, Yufu pushed the police a bit. Police was not assaulted.

Zhu, Yufu defense lawyers Mo, ShaoPing said, the court sentenced has its own considerations: "The case, the fact is more clear, with videotape right in front of the resident area, the resident office has video. It seemed like he fought the police, his son bump into the Police once. It indeed shows that."

Despite of this, Mo,Shao-ping consider the judgment unreasonable. Mo, ShaoPing said: as a lawyer, they will help the clients to lodge an appeal.

Yang Jianming who witness the scene told the Voice of America: On May 18, police went to Zhu’s home asked to open the door, Zhu's friend at home sent text message to Zhu, YuFu’s cellphone. Zhu, YuFu & Yang, JianMing returned home and notice police cars parked downstairs. They hesitated on entering the room. When Zhu’s son Zhu Ang returned, he insisted on going inside despite of Yang’s effort to stop him.

Yang JianMing told VOA:“later Zhu, Ang has physical confrontation. His head were hurt and bleed a lot, he also fell on the ground. The police was wounded with mouth swelling. Zhu, YuFu after seeing his son injuired, he also had push and pull action involved with the police.
