CDPWU Chairman Wang, Jun’s Letter to US President Bush

Respected President Bush:
Since you became the President of the United States, you have a bigger influence on China's human rights. Chinese people have great expectations for you and your job. So we wrote to you, I hope you as the world's largest democracy leader noted that the world's largest authoritarian country (China) human rights situation is rapidly deteriorating.
We, the CDPWU (China Democracy Party World Union) is a New York headquartered pro-democracy organizations, stand in the forefront opposing the CCP autocratic rule. We often organize members protest at the Chinese Consulate General in New York, the Chinese embassy in Washington, the White House, the Congress, the headquarters of the United Nations, actively organized a protest against the autocratic activities of the party, especially with Uygur compatriots in Xinjiang,
Tibetans, Falun gong practitioners jointly protesting against China's authoritarian! NTDTV, Voices of Hope radio station, Radio Free Asia, the World Journal, Liberty Times, The Epoch Times, and other media, had numerously reported our events.
We also established our own website in Chinese and English http:// www.cdpwu.org and report daily articles and contents protesting the autocratic rule of CCP. We also offer moral, spiritual and economic support for China's domestic development and human rights movement. We believe that China's democratization, international security and regional security is essential and inseparable. I, as party chairman, often leading members actively participate meetings opposing the autocratic rule, make speech, and was reported by the Voice of America and other media for worldwide coverage.
More importantly, we are still developing our organization under
one-party dictatorship in China. For example, on August 31, 2007, friend from city of Guiyang, Guizhou Province emailed joining China Democracy Party. Our web site set up special columns welcome to join the party, to encourage more people to join the China Democracy Party, and fight against the CCP!
At present, however, China's Communist authorities seriously suppress Democrats, such as: August 16, 2007, CDP member Chen, Shuqing was imprisoned by the communists and sentenced to four years. To protest against such inhuman practices, we on August 30, 2007 held donation rally to rescue CDP member Chen, ShuQing, demand immediate release of Chen, ShuQing. Of course, there are many more of us arrested by the Chinese authorities and send in jail!
Our activities in China not only to run enormous risk, it is even so in the United States. For example, because I actively contact
domestic Chinese Democrats and the dissidents, and led members actively protest oppose the autocratic Chinese authorities in the United States, I received two consecutive threat letters. Communist authorities accused me and my organization as "subversion of state power"!
On June 21, 2007, I went to New York 109 police station to report recently received death threats and more than 100 telephone death threats. The New York police made the record and started investigation to prevent terrorist incidents, the criminals will be brought to justice.
On July 18, 2007, I received the second death threats. At 17:30 I reported the 109 police station again. Police department stated that they will continue to follow up on that.
The Chinese government in the United States has the courage to
take such steps to deal with the political opposition; it is easy to imagine how they will treat them in China. Now, the 2008 Beijing Olympics anniversary countdown starts, the Chinese government not only failed to give domestic dissidents more personal freedom and tolerance, but suppress dissident activists almost frantically in an attempt to prevent the independent media reported. Because the Chinese government is afraid of its own people talk about political and social issues. They were afraid of people express their views. Results of the fact show that the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games has led more residents’ house being demolished, workers human rights being violated and more dissidents under house arrest. The Chinese government continues to suppress conscientious lawyers, and activists who defend their right. For example, Jiang, YanYong the retired military doctor who discovered SARS epidemic in China has been banned from leaving China to go abroad to accept the award.
Respected President Bush, with your tremendous influence in the international force, the Chinese people hope you will use your influence, and contacts the Chinese government, urge the Chinese government to improve the handling of international relations and domestic relations, learning the American democratic system and the spirit of tolerance. You should draw particular attention to the Chinese government: tell them to restrain in the territory of the United States against the Chinese, particularly against political opponents. If the terrorist threat was not effectively stopped, it will develop into a true terrorist action, devastating the United States national security, if not stopped, it will disintegrate American society.
I believe that the majority of Chinese people are like me and our members, we are willing to let you hear our voices: the Chinese
nation is a nation of Thanksgiving, you effort to improve the human rights situation in China will always be remembered in our mind. Thank you very much!
Your sincere friend,
Wang, Jun
