Strongly Protesting China City Government Officials Tyrannizing Regular People
On November 6, 2007 11:00 am, more than 90 members from China Democracy Party World Union attended the big rally held in front of China Embassy in New York, strongly protesting China city government officials practice tyranny against regular free market vendors. Chairman of China Democracy Party World Union, Jun Wang, as well as other world union members made a speech on the rally.
“China City Government Official (CCGO)” is strange enforcement agent of rules and regulations. Its full name is “City Management and Administration Enforcement Team”. In the every street and each avenue, people would find such phenomena: whenever and wherever once the city government officials emerge on the streets, all the small vendors will drop their businesses, wrap everything they have and escape immediately without knowing where they head. All of sudden, all small vendors disappear completely.
If you are unlucky, you will get caught by those ferocious CCGO officials. A furious quarrel will break out between the caught-vendors and the CCGO officials. The valuable things and cash will be confiscated and other trivial things will be destroyed immediately. If you do not obey, you will get beaten by CCGO officials.
Those small vendors are poor peasants and unemployed workers. They try to support themselves by working hard and diligently, whereas, those CCGO officials practice violence against them and preventing them from doing business. The violent enforcement is not tolerable for people with conscience.
It is notorious for CCGO officials to tyrannize the regular people by beating, confiscating and preventing them from self-employment. CCGO officials know their power is limited. Of course they do not enforce the rules and regulations in the same manner. Therefore, they treat regular people in different ways. Those people who are wandering in the boundary between urban and suburban with less resource are more prone to become the victims of the tyranny by CCGO officials.
Many members of China Democracy Party who attended the rally today have witnessed the scene of violent enforcement in China when they visited there. Facing the more and more violence enforcement practiced by CCGO officials, as the members of China Democracy party, we have to ask ourselves that what this agency is! Who gives them power to tyrannize the regular people! We, as the members of China Democracy Party World Union, strongly demand that Chinese government eradicate this agency which interferes with the free market, blocks the economic development, and break laws.
