WANG, JUN: From Aristocratic Democracy Movement
to Working Class Democracy Movement
——Concern about the growth and expansion of the domestic civil movement in China is the fundamentality to developmentChina’s democratic movement!
Recently, CCP has made more efforts in striking Chinese people’s civil rights movement after the “17th National Assembly”. It is estimated that this trend will maintain through Beijing’s Olympic Games in 2008. The proof lies in that CCP’s excessive arrests and imprisonments of China Democracy Party members, dissidents, civil right activists and religious personnels. Those recently arrested and imprinsoned include China Democracy Party members ZHU, Yu Fu, CHEN, Shu Qing, CHI, Jian Wei, LU, Geng Song, and dissidents and civil right activists GUO, Fei Xiong, CHEN, Guang Cheng and LI, Guo Hong.
On October 30, 2007, CCP government arrested civil right activist LI, Guo Hong. At arrest, CCP authority cheated his family that it was only a fifteen-day detention. Now more than 20 days have passed, treachery CCP still repudiated its own promise and civil right activist LI, Guo Hong is still in detention without freedom!
The background of the ferocious incident of CCP’s arrest of civil right activist LI, Guo Hong is as the following: after more than ten thousand employees of Zhongyuan Oilfield were forcibly purchased off their length of service, they demanded relevant party’s solution but has not received any reply. Employee representatives started to appeal from 2006, but were continuously beaten and detained. Mr. LI, Guo Hong participated in Zhongyuan Oilfield’s civil right activities and performed his duties strictly abiding by the delegation system of CCP’s “ code of Civil Laws”. Zhongyuan Oilfield’s penalty of 15-day adminstrative detention of LI, Guo Hong with a charge of “ disturb social order” is illegal. Now the public security bureau is still detaining Mr. LI, Guo Hong without any legal precedures and when the adminstrative detention term runs out. This is not only trample on freedom and human rights but is also satire of CCP’s excuse of “manage the country according to laws and enforce laws for the people” The reason of LI, Guo Hong’s arrest is nothing but that he is the representative of the ten thousand employees in “Zhongyuan Oilfield” who were purchase off their length of service.
People inside China hope that all men of insight can pay attention to LI, Guo Hong’s case and can jointly appeal for him. Accordingly, we China Democracy Party World Union, in answer to this appeal, not only appeal for LI, Guo Hong’s civil right activity, but also appeal for all civil right activities! To meet this need, we China Democracy Party World Union have decided to actively support people in China’s struggle to protect their rights against violence. Therefore, on early morning of November 13, 2007, more than sixty China Democracy Party World Union (CDPWU) members, in wind and rain, under the leadership of their chairman, Wang, Jun, got on a tourist bus to Washington D.C. for protest activity. CDPWU members held parade and gatherings in front of the Chinese Embassy, the White Hall and the Capitol Hills in the capital of the United States, Washington D.C. They strongly protested CCP’s arrest of civil right activist LI, Guo Hong, firmly demanded that democracy, human rights and legal administration be practiced in China! They strongly demanded CCP’s immediate release of Mr. LI, Guo Hong! China Democracy Party World Union demanded that the Chinese government keep its promise to improve human rights before the 2008 Olympic Games and also strongly requested CCP to release immediately all the imprisoned China Democracy Party members, dissidents and civil right activists and religious personnels.
The reason why we carried out this protest activity is that this is not an isolated incident. We were not only appealing for LI, Guo Hong himself, but also for all those who have suffered CCP’s persecution including Zhu, Yu Fu; Chen, Shu Qing; Chi, Jian Wei; Lu, Geng Song; Guo, Fei Xiong and Chen, Guang Cheng! We would also appeal that CCP immediately release the eight civil right farmers in Luliang, Yunan Province! The eight civil right defender farmers in Luyang County, Yunan were severely sentenced by Luliang County Court at the end of October. One farmer representative Wang, Guo Qiang was sentenced six-year imprisonment.
Not only will we protest and appeal with efforts, we will also propose some designs and plans for discussion, so as to complete the historic transition of civil right movement and promote realistically China’s democratic process. The following are several points of out thinking:
1.Concern in morality and economy about the imprisoned China Democracy Party members within China, and ensured their family members can go to school and see doctors within China. Form the center-oriented power! Produce condensing power! Reinforce combatting power!
2. Provide China Democracy Party secret organization within China with economical aid, theoretic guidance, media support and organizational training, accelate domestic democratic forces to form raging fires so that the fires of democracy will burn cities, villiages and all fields, trully and effectively promoting democratic movements in China.
3.As for dissidents, civil right defenders, religious personnels, we China Democracy Party world union also needs to do everything well to assist them. Let all sides united in the fight! Seize the Summit of Civil Right under current situations, and create a new look for civil right movement! Through civil right movement, we will promote people’s recognition and understanding and agreement with democracy so as to move the society forward.
4.Among all those assistance discussed above, some can be openly promoted while some have to be secretly performed. To be more specific, humanitarian aids can be made public while organizational development must be kept in secrecy.
5.Let’s start acting actively. Surpass the historical stage of aristocratic civil movement and march into the new era of civil movement of ordinary people. It must be seen that aristocratic movement once played an actively role in history. However, as all has already seen, aristocratic civil movement is lack of people. Without a big team, if it does not transform into the civil mopvement of ordinary people, it can only grow fading with natural laws. There is no way for metabolism, so it can only go toward diminishment.
6.We must be alert! Real civil movements help each other while fake ones tear each other apart; real civil movements reinforce integrity and fake ones favor seperation. Although civil movement of the ordinary people has to live on its own and support itself, it needs not a false union, the characteristic of which is to cause further seperation. Touchstone to tell a true union from a fake one is to see whether it forms a true union or causes a bigger seperation. The history of civil movement has bitter lessons to prove this. The above opinion is only for your reference.
Currently, because of our active support to domestic civil movements, our party website suffers frequent block by CCP, so many news and activities can not be published to the public. But in some forums often is seen anonymous scolding and attack, lies and slander to China Democracy Party World Union and myself. Anyway, please take it easy, we will not divert from our original belief. We will firmly support China’s domestic civil movement through to the end until the day when democracy is realised in China! Welcome everone to contact me and discuss about the future of China.
