Press Communist Party of China to Improve Chinese Human-right

2008 Olympic Game is a good chance to improve Chinese human-right, but the problem is how to utilize it to give the China’s government the necessary pressure.
The seminar of 2008 Olympic Game and Chinese Human-right was hold at Flushing of New York on July 3rd, 2007. I addressed as the delegate of China Democracy Party World Union (CDPWU) on the seminar. Many people who are against Beijing Olympic Game think Chinese human-right situation is not affirmative. As Chinese, we hope Beijing can hold Olympic, China can get a progress in any aspects and Chinese human-right situation can be changed. I believe that 2008 Beijing Olympic Game will make the world concentrate on China, and the international public voice will press China government to improve Chinese human-right situation.
China has promised to improve Chinese human-right situation when it got permission to hold Olympic Game. The International Amnesty Organization has been paying attention to Chinese human-right situation. For example, death penalty is obviously concerned with human-right. My opinion is to delete the death penalty in China. I am even against the death penalty to corrupt officials and state prisoners of Communist Party of China (CPC). We should treat them with civilized nations’ way. There are about 8,000 to 10,000 persons being sentenced to death every year in China. In fact nobody know the exact statistics. I think Chinese government should unfurl the information about death penalty and make the truth to the view. This is the right way to jury China and political civilization. Moreover, open and fair adjudge can make China respectable and be responsible in the world.
Kam, chairman of China and America Dialog Fund Organization, suggest China open the information about death penalty to foreign journalists while the journalists gather news in Beijing. We should make more and more people know what happen in China. I agree with him badly.
The report from International Amnesty Organization in London shows that Chinese human-right situation did not be better but worse, although Beijing Olympic Game is coming. Chinese government has made progress in death penalty reform and foreign journalists’ interview, but it hasn’t realized its promise of improving human-right for Olympics. Especially many emergences infringe human-right happened recently. For example, the police detain the prisoners without adjudge, internal media was controlled and the International Web was checked, etc.
International Amnesty Organization reports while it is building modern sport and traffic equipments and rebuilding living districts, Beijing infringes the human-right. Here’s an example. A Beijing resident was forced to move away for Olympics equipment. He protested and then was sentenced to jail for 4 years. Infringing human-right cases in China hasn’t been the news. In order to hold Olympics, in 2001 Chinese government ever promised International Olympic Committee to improve human-right situation and enlarge media’s freedom. International Amnesty Organization demand International Olympic Committee press Chinese government to improve human-right situation, especially topical discussion about Olympics. Chinese government hasn’t reply for this.
In order to press Chinese government, CDPWU has hold several rallies for demand Chinese government release human-right supporter Li, Guohong. For example, I led 80 members of CDPWU to hold protesting rally in front of China’s Consulate in New York at 11 A.M. of November 27th, 2007. I asked all CDPWU members to learn and greet democratic people in China. At the same time, I wake up all Chinese people to fight with CPC dictatorship. On November 13th, 2007, more than 60 CDPWU members attended the rally in front of White House, Capitol Hill and China’s Embassy to America on Washington D.C. to protest Chinese government arresting human-right supporter Li, Guohong and demand American government supporting CDPWU to set up a democratic China.
We worry about Li, Guohong and his families. We should give him economic help and console him. We will try our best to cause the international power to press Chinese government release Li, Guohong. If we don’t press Chinese government improve the human-right situation, Beijing Olympics may be a tool with which to persecute common people just like what American Democratic assemblyman Lantose said. We must prevent CPC from squashing human-right action during 2008 Olympics. We must prevent CPC from squashing Tibetan, Vigur and Taiwanese.
Li, Zhuming, chairman of Hong Kong Democracy Party, publish his article in Wall Street. The article demand American government press Chinese government to improve human-right situation. He reminded American President Bush not to forget the parole that Chinese government promised when China applied for Olympic Game.
We should and must stand up for Li, Zhuming and using Olympics to improve Chinese human-right situation. It is the eagerest thing for us to do now. Every human-right supporters overseas should do something for Chinese common people.
