CDPWU Hold Rally on China Consulate in New York to
Protest CCP Persecuting Hu, Jia and Lu, Gengsong

On 11 a.m. of January 29th, 2008, more than one hundred members of CDPWU attend the rally on China Consulate in New York to protest CCP persecute Hu, Jia and Lu, Gengsong; demand CCP release dissidents, human-right supporters and religious people. Jun Wang, chairman of CDPWU, address on the rally. Many members of CDPWU take reports on the rally.
Hu, Jia was arrested on December 27th, 2007 by CCP police. After Hu, Jia being arrested, the police cut off the telephone wire and internet wire in his family, and confiscate his desktop and some documents. Zeng, Jinyan, Hu’s wife and human-right supporter, wasn’t arrested because of her new-born baby, but she was in house arrest.
Jun Wang, chairman of CDPWU, address that 34-year-age Hu, Jia help AIDS patients get cure, at same time he has to face up what the government want to cover up the crisis of Chinese AIDS overspreading. He often provides the information that lawyers are threatened, beaten and arrested, peasants’ protection, and workers and human-right supporters’ situation to outside media. CCP authority arrest famous human-right supporter Hu, Jia and announce that he want to overthrow government. It expose that Chinese government reinforce the repression to the dissidents before Olympic Games.

Lu, Gengsong reporte 260 articles overseas and he criticize CCP’s one-party dictatorship. CCP accuse that his articles on overseas web sites is overthrowing national authority. CDPWU think CCP’s accusation garble and chop logic. Lu, Gengsong has right to publish his articles. This is taking-liberty, not delict.
On the rally, Jun Wang as the delegate of CDPWU protest strongly CCP arrest Hu, Jia and Lu, Gengsong, accuse strongly CCP reinforce repression to human-right supporters near to Olympic Games and demand strongly CCP immediately release Hu, Jia and Lu, Gengsong and other dissidents, human-right supporters and religious people. The 29-Olympic Games will be held in Beijing on August of this year. CDPWU has urged CCP many times to improve human-right situation and democratic system reform during this good chance and has urged CCP to carry out its promise that to improve Chinese human-right situation for international society before 2008 Olympic Games.
