CDPWU HELD RALLY IN FRONT OF THE WHITE HOUSE TO“STRONGLY PROTEST CCP’S ARREST OF HUMAN RIGHT DEFENDER, HU JIA”
At 6:00 in the early morning of April 15, 2008, more than 90 members of China Democracy Party World Union took three buses to Washington D.C.. They came to the front of the Chinese Embassy in the US and held a protest activity there: “Strongly protest CCP’s arrest of human right defender HU, Jia!”,“Strongly demand CCP to immediately release HU, Jia!” Mr. Jun WANG, Chairman of China Democracy Party World Union, led all the members of China Democracy Party World Union to the front of the White House and the Capitol Hills to hold a rally and a parade; calling for the American government and the international society to keep a close eye on human right defender HU, Jia. It is hoped that the American government and the international society will continue to exert pressure and force CCP to release human right defender HU, Jia as soon as possible!

On March 14, 2008, the largest protest activity in recent 20 years occurred in Lhasa where Tibetans pursued freedom and human rights. However, CCP used tanks and machine guns to suppress those unarmed Tibetans and committed bloody cases on Lhasa streets that shocked China and the world! Now only 20 days passed, CCP authority sentenced the 34-year-old human right defender HU, Jia to 3 years and 6 months imprisonment and deprival of political right for 1 year, under the crime of “Impugning to overturn national government”. The crime evidence CCP used to sentence human right defender HU, Jia to 3 years and 6 months imprisonment was twice of his answering the phone of overseas reporters and published a few articles on overseas internet websites. The authority claims that it is stipulated in the Constitution that “citizens have freedom of expression.” HU, Jia only assisted Chinese aids patients in getting timely treatment. He only criticized CCP’s problems in human right issues. However, he is now in jail. During the 3 years before he was put into jail, he was detained or placed under house arrest for many times. We want to ask CCP authority is this proof of your claim that you will improve human rights before the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games?! Is this the stipulation in the Constitution that Chinese citizens have the right of freedom of expression?!

Mr. Jun WANG, Chairman of China Democracy Party World Union, pointed out: the bloodshed in Tibet was a man-made tyranny of CCP. It could have been avoided completely. There are demonstration parades in remembrance of Tibetan resistance to turbulence every year, however, CCP government had to make up a bloodshed case before the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games is held, and repeat the 1989 Tibet suppression, and force the international society to express their attitude on Chinese human right issues. When the international society condemns CCP’s suppression, they hope that CCP has a good attitude and allow investigation on this event, and it can sit down with Dalai Lama to negotiate how to solve the Tibetan issues. express their attitude on Chinese human right issues. However, CCP government not only pays no attention to international society’s good wishes, but it also insults Dalai Lama and chases western media, which all proves CCP has no sincerity at all in solving the problem of Tibet.
WANG, Jun continued, several days later, CCP sentenced HU, Jia who has been engaged in such human right defending courses and public affairs areas as environment protection and aids civilian. That this hooligan conducts is increasing proves that CCP does not care about its own promises on improving human rights, nor will it care if the Olympic Games will be successful or not… CCP would rather sacrifice the face project of the Olympic Games than allowing the CCP tyranny political powers to be threatened.
China Democracy Party World Union strongly demand that CCP authority stop bloody murdering of Tibetans and open human right dialogue with the Tibetan people; and in the meantime, immediately release human right defender HU, Jia and return to HU, Jia his human rights and freedom.
