At 11 o'clock on Oct. 28, 2008, more than a hundred CDPWU members face wind and the rain to come to the China Consulate General in New York attend rally: "donate for famous human rights defender Guohong Li," and "Stop one-party autocracy and establish democratic China " CDPWU members presenting at today's meeting facing strong winds and heavy downpours under an umbrella, shouting slogans; their wet clothes, shoes and water, no one to retreat. In order to rescue Mr. Guohong Li, CDPWU has adopted a series of actions: November 13, 2007, more than 60 CDPWU members from New York to the U.S. capital Washington DC hold protest movements. At the China Embassy in the United States, the White House and Capitol Hill, held before the "strong demand CCP release human rights defender Guohong Li," and strongly calls for democracy, freedom, human rights and the rule of law and the procession of assembly in China. Mr. Guohong Li’s wife telephoned with CDPWU chairman Jun Wang and said repeatedly during their telephone conversation: In order to Guohong Li’s freedoms, in the past year, CDPWU has adopted a series of rescue operations, made great efforts, and thank CDPWU friends, thanks to chairman Jun Wang, in the absence of a concerted effort to the efforts of both Guohong Li how serious is the illness, the government under pressure to allow for medical treatment is almost impossible.
