Rally on Strongly Protesting against CCP arresting CDP member-Wang, Rongqing
------No. 3 campaign for “Public Year of rescuing Chinese victims suffering political persecution”
On 1/27/2009, at 11 a.m. over 100 CDPWU members came to
Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in New York for rally, they started No. 3 campaign for “Public Year of rescuing Chinese victims suffering political persecution” and strongly protested against CCP arresting CDP member-Wang, Rongqing and strongly requested CCP to immediately release all imprisoned CDP members in cold wind. CDP&CDPWU Chairman and China Party Journal director-Wang, Jun attended this rally and presented the important speech.
67-year-old CDP member-Wang, Rongqing has been actively engaged in Chinese democracy all the time. He joined the activity of Xidan democracy wall in 1978, edited and published “April 5th Monthly” and “Eastern China Monthly”, ect. He was engaged in student democracy campaign. He established and joined China Democracy Party in 1998. On 6/26/2008, Wang, Rongqing was detained and charged with subversion of the state and arrested on Junly, 31. On 12/9/2008, CCP authority listed ‘3 main crimes’ for Wang, Rongqing. First crime: Wang, Rongqing joined CDP’s organization and plot, and also he issued the articles related freedom and democracy. Second crime: He took on the convener of CDP Zhejiang Committee. Third crime: He joined and plotted CDP’s first national conference. He was sentenced to 6 years with subversion of the state.

CDP&CDPWU Chairman and China Democracy Journal director-Wang, Jun presented the important speech at rally. He said that CDP is the biggest opposition party. Since CDP was founded, it has insisted on expressing ideals on democracy and freedom with means of publicity, peace, rationality and non-violence, and strived for Chinese people’s freedom, democracy and justice. CDP opposes terrorism, violent ruling and all persecutions. CDP also claims to realize democracy, freedom and human rights in China.
Wang, Jun said that many CDP members had rich livings and happy families. However, they suffered from CCP authority’s inhumane persecution, because they have resolutely struggled with CCP one-party autocracy for Chinese democracy for a long time. Many of them got separated and perished families. These brave CDP members don’t regret and turn back. Wang, Rongqing fought for Chinese citizens’ rights of democracy and freedom chronically on the first line as one of them. Because Wang, Rongqing has been engaged in Chinese democracy for many years, his family is so badly affected that his wife left him and his only daughter doesn’t live with him.
Gerontic Wang, Rongqing has many diseases. He lives miserably with poverty and diseases. Nevertheless, he hasn’t changed his belief to pursue democracy, freedom and human rights, and he hasn’t changed his lofty ideal to realize Chinese democracy.
Wang, Jun said that Wang, Rongqing is an excellent CDP member. He has a great responsibility and the touching spirit of democracy and freedom. Wang, Rongqing dares to fight with CCP autocracy for defending freedom, democracy, nomocracy and human rights. At the time that CCP government advocates to establish harmonious society based on people. Wang, Rongqing was sentenced to 6 years. This is a tragedy of state and nation.
Today, our overseas CDP members gathered in front of Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in New York to strongly protest against CCP’s tyranny and requested CCP authority to immediately release Mr. Wang, Rongqing and give freedom back to him.
A couple of CDP members made the speech, and protested against CCP government arresting Mr. Wang, Rongqing and also requested to immediately release Mr. Wang, Rongqing.
