Rally of “Strongly protest against CCP arresting just veteran Zhang, Shijun”
----“Propagandistic Year of Rescuing Political Persecuted Chinese Sufferer” Serial Movement No. 7
About 11:00 a.m. on March 31, 2009, there were more than 100 CDPWU members went to the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in New York to hold a rally, and developed “Propagandistic Year of Rescuing Political Persecuted Chinese Suffer” Serial Movement No. 7 “Strongly protest against CCP arresting just veteran Zhang, Shijun”, “Strongly require CCP to release Zhang, Shijun immediately”. Jun Wang, Chairman of China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union, Proprietor of <China Democracy Journal> took part in today’s rally and made a speech.
2009 is to memorize the 20th anniversary of June 4. At that time, Zhang, Shijun was only 18 years old when he joined Chinese army enforcing martial law. The forces that Zhang, Shijun joined in pressured June 4 students’ movement. He witnessed the tragedy happened on June 3, 1989 in Beijing.
There are still two months to the 20th anniversary of June 4, Zhang, Shijun released his open letter to Hu, Jintao with his real name on the internet; he revealed his dissatisfaction with pressure and asked for retrieve in advance but excluded by the army, and he required to petition for his exclusion with no reason to condemn the violence of June 4 in the open letter nearly 5,000 thousand words. On July 22, 1992, Zhang, Shijun was sentenced with guilt of “anti-party and anti-society” which is not regulated in the criminal law by CCP authorities. He was imprisoned for three years and totally been persecuted for over ten years. Recently, Zhang, Shijun accepted many international media’s interviews such as AFP, AP, Radio Free Asia and so on. He expressed that “I have ever seen very horrible scenes and I have known anybody who can reveal the truth about June 4 until now.”
Zhang’s action annoyed CCP authority again, and his family told that about 2:00 a.m. on March 19, 2009, CCP authority sent a group of policemen Tengzhou City, Shandong to arrest him by force when there was only Zhang and his ten-year-old daughter. Zhang, Shijun was under house arrested by CCP authority.

Jun Wang, Chairman of China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union, Proprietor of <China Democracy Journal> was ever a major officer of Chinese Navy. He said that, on June 4, 1998, CCP army used guns and tanks to cruelly kill students and people who pursued democracy and freedom; all of these indicated that Chinese army is not people’s army that regulated in the Chinese constitution, but the private army for CCP power, it is the violent tool for squashing people; Chinese army completely standing at the opposite side of people.
Jun Wang said that the actions of Zhang, Shijun proves CCP’s violence and cruel. On March 19, 2009, CCP authority took Zhang, Shijun under house arrest, and indicated CCP authority used violence to trample human rights. Today, CDP members came to the front of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in New York to hold a rally, “Strongly protest against CCP arresting just veteran Zhang, Shijun”, and “Strongly require CCP to release Zhang, Shijun immediately”.
CDP members who took part in the rally were all shouted the slogan angrily, and some CDP members made a speech to strongly protest against CCP arresting just veteran Zhang, Shijun! And also require CCP to release Zhang, Shijun immediately and ask CCP government to promote human rights with real actions!
