Fundraising of Martha Flores-Vazquez Campaign for New York City Councilor held in <China Democracy Journal> newspaper office
At 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on April 28, 2009, the fundraising of Martha Flores-Vazquez Campaign for New York City Councilor held in <China Democracy Journal> newspaper office. Martha Flores-Vazquez is a famous New York community leader. Jun Wang, the chairman of CDP and CDPWU, and the proprietor of <China Democracy Journal>, Guokai Liu, the chairman of China Social Democracy Party, Guowei Zhang, the American Commander of Chinese Central Army School, Hexiang Bian, Minister of China Social Democracy Party, Guohua Liu, chairman of Safeguarding American Alliance, they were the chief speakers of the meeting. Jun Wang presided over the fundraising. There were over sixty people took part in the fundraising.

First of all, Jun Wang, the chairman of CDP and CDPWU, and the proprietor of <China Democracy Journal>, warmly welcomed famous New York leader Martha Flores-Vazquez to come here. Jun Wang began to tell the differences between autocracy and democracy, he said people can have right to vote or to be voted under democratic system, people have no right to vote or be voted with autocracy. Chinese people could know that they have a chance to communicate with governmental official face to face, and they can express their views, or suggestions. We wish that China will realize democratic freedom, and people can choose who they like.

Martha held the opinion that, as a community leader, she hopes she can help everyone who needs help, and the door is open to each person. She expected that all people would like to communicate with her, and she is willing to hear all people’s voices. This is an impetus for her to serve the community all these years. Campaign for the New York City Councilor is a better chance for her to serve community and people.
Martha also said that she would come to those who need her help. She thanked the meeting and support from people, and treasure this opportunity to support peace and justice.

Hexiang Bian, Minister of China Social Democracy Party, and Guohua Liu, chairman of Safeguarding American Alliance, both of them expressed their good wishes to Martha and thanked her for her importance contribution to the community in recent years.
Martha patiently answered the questions by those who attended the meeting.
Jun Wang donated $1000 in the name of his own, and the total fundraising is $2,630. Martha thanked all friends, who came here, and especially thanked <China Democracy Journal> and Jun Wang. After the meeting, Martha took picture with all the people who came to the fundraising.
