Rally of “Congratulations to Chinese democrat Yufu Zhu regain freedom”
--“Propagandistic Year of Rescuing Political Persecuted Chinese Suffer” Serial Movement No. 9
At 11:00 a.m. on April 28, 2009, there were more than a hundred CDP members came to the front of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in New York to hold a rally and developed “Propagandistic Year of Rescuing Political Persecuted Chinese Suffer” Serial Movement No. 9: “Strongly protest against CCP persecuting Chinese democrat Yufu Zhu!”, “Congratulations to Chinese democrat Yufu Zhu regain freedom”. Jun Wang, chairman of CDP and CDPWU, and the proprietor of <China Democracy Journal>, attended the rally and made a speech.
56-year-old Yufu Zhu, one of the establisher of China Democracy Party, is Zhejiang leader of CDP. He established <April 5 Journal> in 1979, and he was elected as the principal. He was arrested by CCP authority on September 15, 1999. CCP authority sentenced him as “subversion of the state power” for 7 years, and was deprived of political right for 3 years. He went home by fulfilling his service in 2006. In April, 2007, he was sentenced 2 years of fixed-term imprisonment by CCP authority as “obstruction of public affairs”, and he was released from prison.
Yufu Zhu said when he came out of the prison “I just go back to see relatives, I’ll be back soon.” Because he deeply conceives that he will definitely suffer the CCP’s long-term pressure if he doesn’t change his religion. Yufu Zhu’s son cannot find a job due to his father’s many years’ of imprisonment, and Yufu Zhu’s daughter is in a university right now. All of economic burdens are fall to Yufu Zhu’s wife Hangli Jiang. Yufu Zhu thanked those friends who helped them through media.

Jun Wang, chairman of CDP and CDPWU, and the proprietor of <China Democracy Journal>, said in the rally that Yufu Zhu is one of the establisher of China Democracy Party, and he is CDP Zhejiang leader. He was arrested and imprisoned many times by CCP authorities, and been in prison for ten years long. His family was also persecuted by CCP authority, and he is leading a hard life.
Jun Wang said, Yufu Zhu is an excellent Chinese democrat who pursuing democracy, freedom, human rights and law, he is also a poet, even though he lives in the bottom of Chinese society. During his struggling for democracy, he was arrested and persecuted by CCP authority. China Democracy Party strongly protests against that!

Jun Wang called all Chinese democrats study Yufu Zhu, and appeal Chinese democrats to donate for Yufu Zhu and help his family to solve problems.
Some CDP members made a speech in the rally to s trongly protest against CCP persecuting Chinese democrat Yufu Zhu! Congratulations to Chinese democrat Yufu Zhu regain freedom. CDP members who attended the rally donated for Yufu Zhu.
CDP has already received a lot of donation until Yufu Zhu regains his freedom. CDP will give donations safely to Yufu Zhu through special ways.
