From 11 am on Aug.25, 2009, more than one hundred CDP members came to the Consulate-General of China in New York and held the No.14 Series Activity of Chinese Political Persecutor’s Rescue Propaganda Year”: “Strongly Protest against CCP’s Persecution on CDP
Member Lin Zhang!”, “Rally of Congratulations on Notable Democrat Lin Zhang’s Release.” Mr. Jun Wang, chairman of China Democracy Party and of China Democracy Party World Union and Proprietor of 《China Democracy Journal》attended today’s rally and gave a speech.
Mr.Lin Zhang came from Anhui, Bangbu and was born on June 2, 1963.He was admitted by Qinghua University in September 1979, and participated in democratic movements on campus. In 1986, Lin Zhang resigned from his position and dedicated into his democratic movement in Anhui, Hainan, Yunnan and etc. In June 1989, Lin Zhang organized and led democratic movements and expressed a number of speeches and therefore he was sentenced for 2 years. In May 1994, Lin Zhang was devoted to democratic movements and received labor education for 3 years. In May 1994, because he participated in “Labor Rights Guarantee Union” and other democratic movements, he was sent to Anhui to receive labor education for 3 years. In September 1997, he was set free and got visa to United States.
Mr. Lin Zhang once came to the United States in the later 1997, when he was set free for the second imprisonment. After he came to the United States, Lin Zhang found that Chinese democratic movement battlefield is still in China mainland, and then Lin Zhang broken the barrier and returned to China in October 1998. He was persecuted by CCP and was sentenced for 3 years. Lin Zhang has been imprisonment for 4 times. On August 12, 2009, Lin Zhang has been sentenced for 5 years and was set free fourthly, due to “Overthrowing the Power of State”. Hence, China Democracy Party congratulated on Mr. Lin Zhang’s release and may him live a healthy life.

Mr. Jun Wang, chairman of China Democracy Party and of China Democracy Party World Union and Proprietor of 《China Democracy Journal》 said that Mr. Lin Zhang suffered unbearable torture in the prison and unmoral treatment. He was in prison for many times and his health was deterred, looking very weak. It is the CCP autocratic regime that treats him illegally, fully indicating that CCP autocratic regime is brutal and horrible.
Mr. Jun Wang pointed out that CDP members firmly pursue democracy, freedom, human rights and rule-by-law, appeal for multi-party political system in China. We firmly believe that those who like Mr. Lin Zhang stick to democracy, freedom, human rights and rule-by-law, and persist to impetus the political reform of multi-party regime, and then China is sure to transform from one-party autocratic regime to multi-party democratic country.
Several CDP members gave speeches in today’s rally, condemning CCP government persecuting democrat Lin Zhang and congratulate on his release! May he live a health life and hopefully everything is fine with him!
