At 11 am of Nov. 3, 2009, more than one hundred CDP members came to the Consulate-General of P. R. China in New York to hold the rally and strongly appeal CCP government to “Emphasis on Environmental Development Rather Than Economy Development!”, “Emphasis on Environmental Protection, Benefit the Whole Human Being!”. Mr. Jun Wang, chairman of China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union and Proprietor of 《China Democracy Journal》attended today’s rally and gave a speech.
Chinese environmental problem has attracted attention from International society. The more quickly the economy develops, the more obvious the environmental pollution is. Chinese government only focuses on GDP and efficiency, regardless of environmental protection. Industrial enterprises directly discard waste gas into the air, waste water into rivers and lakes and solid wastes into natural environment. In recent years, due to improper policy and ineffective measure, the environment continues to deter. The excessive economy development of this area has already resulted in a series of ecology crisis, such as glaciers retreating, rivers drying up, lakes shrinking, grassland degradation, wetlands reduction, grassland desertification, bio-reduction, garbage piled up a mountain, leading to shocked by the living condition of somewhere. The water is odor, fish is poison, and rice and vegetable are planted but inedible.

Mr. Jun Wang, chairman of China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union and Proprietor of 《China Democracy Journal》said today’s China, the one third of the city air is seriously polluted. One fourth people’s drinking water doesn’t reach pure standards. The accidents of water source pollution happen every couple of days. The Medias reported that the air in China has been seriously polluted and has already influenced the surrounding countries and area, almost across Pacific and to West coast of U. S. A.
Jun Wang indicated that Chinese Bio-environment crisis has been serious and has already become the widest, deepest, and most influential environment pollution and ecology destroy, almost approaching the bottom line of International Environmental safety. To Chinese environmental problem, individuals should take responsibility, and so should enterprises, all-level government and country. However, Chinese government doesn’t take responsibility of a big country.
Jun Wang said that China is the largest population and one of the most serious areas in the world. CCP government is the starter of the relevant policies and unsound system. 30 years ago, in order to develop economy, a mistake exists that we should become rich at first. From today, serious environmental pollution has become the sequelae of economy development and environmental protection; greatly increase the investment on the environmental protection. Chinese environmental pollution has become the potential threats for the rest of the countries in the world. As a developed and large population country, China should take responsibility of it. CDP hopes that CCP government can strictly legislate, be people-oriented, implement the scientific theory, advocate protection, improve the environmental consciousness and effectively control pollution. That’s the best thing CCP government should do and take responsibility of a developed country.
