Rally of “Strongly Protest CCP Restricting People’s Freedom for Shanghai World Expo”
——Strongly Appeal for CCP to Guarantee People’s Basic Human Rights!
At 11:00 of May 4, 2010, over a hundred China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union members went before Chinese Consulate General to hold a rally of “Strongly Protest CCP Restricting People’s Freedom for Shanghai World Expo”, “Strongly Appeal for CCP to Guarantee People’s Basic Human Rights”. Chairman of China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union, publisher of “China Democracy Journal” Mr.Jun Wang participated in today’s rally and made a speech.
On December 3, 2002, CCP authority’s Shanghai city government won the host rights of 2010 World Expo. Nowadays, Shanghai World Expo has already opened. CCP authority intensifies safety maintenance and investigation on the world expo. People taking subway have their bags censored always. All vehicles from outer city must be supervised before entering Shanghai. Ordinary people should bring their IDs and register when they are buying knives. People must take cars having signs allowing entering Shanghai and the Expo. When passing the checking spots, drivers, passengers and the cars all have to accept strict censorship. The passengers have to show their IDs. Besides, people on buses, taxies and trains must have their entire luggage checked at airport level. All these have proven that CCP treats Shanghai Expo too careful that all things are possible dangers. CCP’s safety maintenance is overly done on restricting people’s freedom.
During the Shanghai World Expo, rights defenders, dissents and religionists nationwide are strictly controlled by the local governments. All related people are supervised as well. They can’t easily meet each other and get around as they want. All petitioners are kept away from going to Beijing to justify their rights.

Chairman of China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union, publisher of “China Democracy Journal” Mr.Jun Wang made a speech in the rally. He said, to maintain Shanghai World Expo’s facial construction, CCP did violent demolition and pulled down houses of many ordinary Shanghai citizens. A lot of bloody events happened and many people suffered inequality. Petitioners are forced to do petition trying to justify their rights. For so many years, petitioners in Shanghai can’t receive reasonable compensation for their damages. The petitioners’ rights can’t be justified. The tragic sufferings of Shanghai petitioners are merely a miniature of CCP’s violent demolition.
Jun Wang said that CCP authority spend large amount of money, labors and materials to limit people’s freedom in name of maintaining safety during Shanghai World Expo. Its behaviors of restricting tax payers’ freedom using tax payers’ money can only happen in the one-party dictated autocratic system under CCP’s control. China Democracy Party and China Democracy Party World Union strongly protest CCP authority’s behaviors and appeal CCP authority to ameliorate their actions as soon as possible. These checking processes must be simplified and people’s freedom must be given back. To express our protests, out party members go before Chinese Consulate General to hold this large protest and strongly protest CCP’s violent demolition of citizens’ houses for Shanghai World Expo! We support shanghai petitioners’ courageous and righteous actions! We strongly protest CCP restricting people’s freedom for Shanghai World Expo! We support China petitioners’ league! We strongly appeal for CCP authority to guarantee people’s basic human rights!
