Jinqiu Fu: Free talk does well to the improvement of Chinese society

Chinese government repeatedly declares that we should severely punish corrupts and request of monitoring the medias. We also require that people comment Chinese government officials freely. However, Chinese society is a society that doesn’t have free talk, and the government doesn’t give enough space for the free talk, although government advocates that people propose opinions. People can only say some trivial things, and also say a lot of good things about the government. As long as people touch the government officials’ corrupt problem, or the dereliction of duty problem, they are not allowed to say or they dare not to say. If nobody listens to the government, they will suffer the retaliation or they will be sentenced to the deterring the consolidation.

China produces the system of no free talk, making people sensitive in the long run. They dare not to say, especially in public. The majority of people stay in silence, or fewer people dare to say.

Chinese autocracy directly leads to the fundamental reasons concerning the no free talk of Chinese society. Opening up China does well to the improvement of Chinese society and in order to improve the environment of free talk should improve the current political system.
