Lan Zhang: Chinese government should remove the restriction to the free talk
In a society, free talk is supposed to be the premise for the freedom. If people can’t truly express their own opinions, and then the politics, economy, society and other regimes will contain a lot of fancy. Concerning a government, people’s talk and critics, suggestions or comments of some journals, however, government should initially communicate and reconcile with people and publishers. Only doing so, it will help the government increase the space for the free talk and improve the civilization and development of our society. Hence, western democratic countries protect the free talk by law, and the government restricts the free talk fewer and fewer.
Today’s China, people doesn’t have rights for free talk. Government has framed and restricted a lot to the people and Medias and it hasn’t allowed to unveil and criticize the government and negative information can’t be exposed. If China will go to the democratic liberal society, firstly it should remove the restriction to the free talk and open up thoroughly.
