  Xiang Hu: Respecting and improving human rights is the responsibility of a government

The economy of China has experienced the rapid growth for 30 years. Different kinds of social problems seem very tough, although problems of human rights have already been very obvious. Chinese people’s awareness of basic human rights has gradually improved. Under the great background of social system switch, respecting and protecting human rights means that government should increase investment, break through the old system and improve the attitudes towards people service. It also means to eliminate unreasonable policies and anti-corruption and give people’s fairness and justice back to people.

Human rights are naturally existing and sacred. Human rights are the endowment for people and can’t be deprived casually. Chinese government should establish human rights as a theory and system and let people look forward to the basic human rights respected, protected and improved by the government.

Chinese government only implements and practices the improvement and protection of human rights, and then we can consider people the master of our country. People oriented and building up harmonious society can be the symbol of civilization and progress of Chinese society.
