Xiang Hu: We should reform the current mode of Chinese education
Current mode of Chinese education has existed a common character: closed education. No matter elementary, middle or university, different schools close students in the wall, educate them and forcefully instill knowledge. Teacher in some school, they don’t respect young people’s psychic characteristics and force children listen to the class like adults. After class, teachers assign them heavy homework and children can’t afford the assignments, leading to that a lot of elementary students wear glasses in an early stage and that some kids’ development has been influenced.
In China society, compulsory education system hasn’t been carried out, especially in poverty-stricken area. Many children can’t receive well education and they also face discontinued schooling. In some area, still thousands of children’s compulsory education can’t be guaranteed, that is to say, Chinese education problem is also human rights problem. Chinese compulsory education system should be practiced and should let children received well education.
