Feng Jin: Poor children should have the equal right for education
金锋(Feng Jin)
Current Chinese Constitution specificly regulates that everyone should have the rights for education and can’t be deprived. During the compulsory education period, , everyone can be admitted without examination and school can’t set up any obstacle. According to the legislation, it indicates that all the children, whether they come from city or rural area can start in the same starting line and receive the equal rights for education.
However, in China, many educational organizations of local area, some people openly despise the Constitution and some schools are open only for rich families. Poor children are rejected. Educational fainess is the base for the social fairness. If children from poor families can’t share the basic education rights, and exclude them outside of the mainstreem society, to such kind of minority, their basic human rights are unreasonablly deterred.
The gap of rich and poor in China have been wider and wider, because poor children can’t receive equal education rights. Chiense government should pay attention to people’s life and children from poverty family and let them enjoy the equal rights for education.
