Chinese society doesn’t have freedom of speech, doesn’t have freedom of press, or doesn’t have freedom of publication. Although Chinese Constitutions have regulated that people have right of freedom of speech, in the reality, they have never truly carried out. Chinese government considers that people’s freedom of speech has influenced the social stableness and influenced the governance capability. It has restricted people’s freedom of speech, and set people as enemies, leading to the social unstableness or unharmonious.

Facts indicate that it is the government that doesn’t put the freedom of speech into practice. The benefit of freedom of speech is in the long run and the autocratic regime has cheating. It also can meet someone’s needs of money and power.

What Chinese Medias have reported are all positive and they only report the good instead of the bad. It seems that everywhere is prospective and harmonious phenomenon. However, Medias in democracy and freedom countries truly reported the social situations to people. Democratic government displays the social negative to people and let people comment and monitor, which can impetus social progress. Hence, the freedom of speech is the essential way to impetus Chinese civilization and progress.
