Keming Chen: Harmonious Society Should Let People Go Towards Common Wealth
陈克明(Keming Chen)
The rich-and poor polarization of Chinese society has been very serious. Government officials who have taken advantage of privileges, and depended on improper methods steal huge amounts of wealth and they are lacking of basic principles of conducting themselves. They are demoralized, and greedy for wealth. These people on the positions never consider people’s difficulties and often take advantage of work excuses to bully people, leading to hundreds of people failing to afford the housing, illness or schooling. Currently, some people were extremely resent and gradually lost confidence to the government.
The policy that Chinese government once raised that let one part of people be wealthy and ultimately let all the people be wealthy is initially a good point, and also accords with people’s willing. However, this policy lacks of powerful guarantee for law and social system. Officials have taken advantage of power at hand collude and corrupt, leading to rich-and poor polarization, upgraded contradiction, human rights defending events rise and completely losing control. The whole country and people as a matter of fact haven’t gone towards the common wealth. The poor people are still in majority.
The harmonious society doesn’t indicate the balanced poverty and richness. But rich people’s wealth should be reasonable and legal. In this case, the rich and the poor can get along with each other very well. The rich should keep voicing lowly, because the rich and the poor are sharing the same sky. At all, the rich have shared even more resource than the poor and thus the rich should also take more social responsibility.
