Long Jin: Let Children in economy-backward area be entitled normal education

China is the biggest population country in the world and the education problem of next generation is especially obvious. Due to the existing drawbacks of educational system, it brings about that a number of children fail to receive normal compulsory education. Department of education has regulated that no matter the children are in the urban area or in the suburb area, they are entitled the right of compulsory education. As a matter of fact, children in economy-backward area still live in the poverty. They not only fail to possess well living conditions, but also fail to receive normal compulsory education and face no schooling.

Especially the children living in the minority area, government doesn’t provide them with normal compulsory education conditions. I am a Korean nationality person. When I am in China mainland, I often see Korean nationality children discriminated at school. In addition, the Korean nationality people’s income is far more behind other regions, making part of school age children forfeit the schooling due to high education fee. Chinese government should pay attention to the existing problems in children’s education and reform current educational system, making children in economy-backward area be entitled normal compulsory education.
