Chuanbin Zhang: Chinese government should emphasize environmental protection
With the rapid development of Chinese economy, environmental pollution has been much more obvious. The government emphasized development and economy benefits, but ignored environmental protection. The primary task raised by Chinese government is economy development. All-level of government focuses on the GDP, and blindly pursues economy. It directly discharges the unprocessed waste water into the nature, leading to the exhaustion of the underground water resource, serious air pollution, abnormal climate and increase in sand storm.
China has become the most seriously polluted area in the world. On the one hand, industrial scale is increasing; and on the other hand, environment has been deterred, making earthquakes, floods, drought and other natural disasters happen frequently. Chinese government should understand a truth that serious environment problem has restricted Chinese economy development and it is urgent to emphasize environmental protection.
