Changxing Xing: China should take responsibility of environment as a big nation

The topic of UN Climate Change Summit is “Global Unmissing Chance” held in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark on Dec. 07, 2009. Delegates from 192 countries attended the summit, including chiefs from 100 countries. The summit is aimed to achieve a great goal, decreasing the warm house gas emission to handle the global warming. All the countries in the world should strive and dedicate to the environmental protection.
China, as the greatest developing country has achieved a lot on the environmental protection, but it always left behind. Since reform and open-up, Chinese economy, GDP and productivity efficiency have improved, but it has neglected the emphasis on environmental protection. Some environmental protection policies are not efficient, making the environment in huge amounts of area in China further deter.
Concerning the gradually aggravate environmental protection, CCP government won’t increase the investment and strictly legislate it, although it has been aware of the serious problem. Chinese government should actively participate in the environmental protection and international cooperation and take responsibility of a great economy country.
