Hong Tian: The Policy of Making All the People Jointly Rich Fails

The income polarization in Chinese society is the result of unfair distribution. The government officials in China use the power in hands to do corruptive behaviors under the protection of the one-party dictatorship. They seize properties and their desire has no ends. Finally, they collect a large amount of money and materials. These officials blackmail the ordinary people in China and make the lower-class people lack the money to live, study and support the family.

To make all jointly people rich is not to promote egalitarianism or to separate the wealth equally. However, the wealth of these officials should come from lawful way so that they can get on well with the poor people. At the beginning of the economic reform, the Chinese government made a policy to allow a part of its population to become rich at first, the finally make all the people jointly rich. The policy was in accordance with the wish of Chinese people at that time and received enthusiastic welcome and support from the people. Nevertheless, this once glorious policy has came across a lot of problems. Because of a lack of complete social system to work this policy, the officials use it as a way to corrupt unrestrainedly. The income polarization becomes more and more serious and the conflicts between officials and ordinary people upgrade day after day. The whole society of China is out of control.

The ordinary Chinese people have not become rich together with these corruptive government officials. The people in poverty still make up a large part of Chinese population. The reality has proved, the Chinese government’s policy of making a part of population rich at first and make all the people jointly rich at the end has totally failed.
