Almost all the leaders of Chinese government have said the same words: Education can’t be ignored no matter how poor it is. This sentence has moved countless Chinese people and given endless hope to thousands of them.

From the first generation of Chinese government, they kept on talking about the importance of education. Now decades have passed, how is the situation presently? Because of the limitation of the social system of China, the policies aimed at promoting education have opposite effects instead of accelerating the paces of educational development. Many schools in China are confronted with suspension because of a lack of educational funding and a lot of students face the possibilities of losing their chance to study. From local departments of education to schools, corruption continuously appears. The corruption in the educational system has been out of imagination in recent years. Under the one-party dictatorship, the system of education becomes a potential space for corruption to happen.

Today, if someone in the government says: Education can’t be ignored no matter how poor it is, it’s sure that no Chinese people will still believe it. The government of China must think over the problems in educational system, consider whether the direction of educational development is correct and review sincerely the corruption in education. The government of China must understand a simple argument: The best way to promote education is a well formed social system, not by mere brags of leaders.
